An utterly chaotic ordering experience via disinterested staff where you receive an order number but then when the meal comes out there's no number on it so someone has to look in the bag and check it against your receipt.
I baulked at the pricing, even taking into account the location, but was genuinely impressed with the size and look of the burger I eventually received. I wasn't so impressed with the drinks guy fingering the rims of every drink he made but hey ho.
On getting sat down and taking a bite I was presented with a pair of completely raw burgers dripping with myoglobin, bizarrely charred on the outside though. Other burgers in the group ranged from well done to medium rare.
I happily eat rare steak, steak tartare, medium rare burgers etc at trusted restaurants but I draw the line at a blue burger at a Legoland fast food outlet staffed by disinterested, unmanaged, youths so took it back to the counter of chaos.
"Rabbit in the headlights" sums up the reception received, I then had to chase a more senior team member (blue shirt) around the restaurant before getting a refund and a mild apology.
I worry about the lack of consistency and care and that someone with a less robust stomach than I could get ill from this. They need to be checking things are cooked or better still serve thinner (smash style) burgers, charge less and not only be able cook them faster but reduce the chance of killing someone.
I escalated this to guest services following our trip, they didn't respond.
Pirates has the potential to be OK but I post this as a warning to just check your burgers are cooked before...
Read moreSo I was enjoying my day when I decided to go and get food. I go to the self service to find out you couldn’t add or remove onions or pickles from the burgers so I had to go to the checkout it’s self and ordered. I asked for a double cheese burger with no onions as I’m highly allergic. The lady at the desk said sure thing and assured me it was off the burger. A few minutes pass and my number gets called. I go to the counter and the lady threw my bag at me for no reason. I said to her was there any need for that and the lady just looked me up and down and kissed her teeth at me. After I open my burger I found onions so I went back to the counter and asked for a new burger as I’m allergic. Through the heat counter I could see them opening my old burger and scraping off the onions just to put it back in the bag and give it back to me. I stood my ground and said how rude and disrespectful they were. I asked for a refund and the lady who kissed her teeth at me just said well there nothing I can do. So I just walked out and decided to go to customer service at the top and apologised. I didn’t raise my voice but instead had a little laugh about the lady at the kitchen and expressed my feelings about the issue. The staff agreed with me that it was wrong and gave me a free ticket. I will be returning to lego land soon but I will never eat burger...
Read moreOMG! Never have I ever, ever seen such sloppiness. In fact I've never had to complain so loudly. Where to start... Ordered just shy of £50 worth of food (6 of us), first of all the young lady bagging the food pulled her mask down, wiped her nose with her hand, pulled up her mask back up, before proceeding to pick up the packets of fries, scratching her nose in between. Didn't wash her hands, so when she gave me my order I asked her to replace it and wash her hands. Didn't really seem to understand my reasons behind it, so I had to be a little more direct.
We then get to the table to find half the order missing, so back and forth I go. The food was over cooked, and by the time I sorted everyone else's food out, it was cold (see photos), so was thrown away after a few bites.
Thankfully the guy working in the lobby was pretty good, as was the team leader (Milo), who provided a refund.
That being said the cleanliness of the restaurant area leaves a lot to be desired.
Thankfully due to the time of year it wasn't busy, but I'm a little concerned that the 'already' poor standards shown would be a heck of a lot worse in the peak season.
Won't be...
