Our family had breakfast here, 7.30am as we prebooked and we were the first and only family here for a short while. We were seated and had our orders taken, my child and I decided to have waffles at an extra surcharge. Assuming that these would be freshly made due to cost increase vs a full english; when I witness the chef chucking pre-made packet waffles on a plate without heating them and then serving them directly to us I was shocked and frankly annoyed.

After walking my singular waffle back to ask for them to atleast microwave it I sit down to then find that my husband and sons full English were cold! The hash browns were frozen in the middle! How can the first meal of the day be stone cold?! I again walk the food back over and tell the chef to feel them, snapped the hashbrown and they said "oh yes it's cold" went and took the bowl of cold hashbrowns and chucked them back in the fryer. We were then served the refried crunchy hashbrowns. The bacon looked like it had been cooked in the kettles you get in your room, each slice stuck together and luke-warm. Beans cold as though they came fresh from the can. Oh and the toast?! No, it's just seen the sun and been plated. By this point we decided to just leave and get food somewhere else because I'd walked over to the serving hatch to many times as the staff corralled down the end of the room and didn't actually come and ask if things were okay etc.

"Premium" is not what I would describe this as. I've had better breakfasts at the local Beano. I would give this a miss, or just have the continental because atleast that's meant to be cold. 👎

Customer service say this kid of this doesn't happen and they strive to provide the best breakfast.. other reviews and posts on the legoland Facebook groups will tell...

Two restaurants in resort, we booked in both. Definitely pre book a table, as slots go. We booked Castle Tournament Tavern but confirmation wasn't guaranteed until we got a email morning of the day.

I had visions of a resort restaurant to be mediocre at best and inflated prices. But I'm happy to say the food was beyond my expectations, way more than what I would have thought. To the point I may have to rethink my point of view regarding resort restaurants...... lol.

And from the booking delay and time slot availability I assumed it was rammed...... Maybe it was but it didn't feel it. We we're well spaced out, with lots personal space between tables.

Service and ordering was beyond my expectations, rude or unhelpfullness isn't in the vocabulary. It felt more like a top end restaurant with a white linen cloth on arm service.

Food - was very well presented, to the point where I wouldn't have thought I was at a resort restaurant, would give a Michelin restaurant a run for it's money on presentation, quality of food was definitely Gourmet with a capital G.

For my starter I had the Chicken and Waffle, presentation 10/10, taste 10/10.  For my main I had the Pan Roast Duck Breast, presentation 10/10, taste 10/10

My wife had the soup as a starter, served with a empty soup bowl on table only to have soup poured by out waitress from a jug.  For her main she had the Pan seared Salmon.

Our 3 kids had the 3 course kids meal, which being fairly picky eaters they enjoyed the meal.  Its your usual kids meal, but my daughter went for the steak (rare) cooked to perfection.

Again overall worth every...

Worst and most expensive food I've ever had in a place like this. The "jus" for my duck was literally just a Bisto instant gravy, I will recognise this taste with my eyes closed. The "truffle sauce" for the vegetation option was just a lukewarm double cream with some black bits floating in it. There was zero truffle flavour in it. The "sauce" wasn't reduced or anything, it was just a warm cream that's it. With zero additional flavour. Some sad blanched kale at the bottom and some flowers to trick you into thinking you are in a fancy restaurant. We've been surrounded by dirty tables for our entire stay. 4 people doing god knows what for an hour and three tables next to us were full of plates and food leftovers. And the price? Don't even get me started on that. The sad piece of duck I got that wasn't even seared properly or crispy skin was £35. The sad and terrible chips with bits of old burnt particles also tasted horrible. The lady who saved us was really nice. I just wish the place was cleaned more frequently....

We cancelled our booking at bricks restaurant due to poor reviews and was concerned about tournament tavern however we dined here on 16th April evening and 17th April breakfast Dinner menu was amazing although expensive 31.50 for 2 course all food we were severed was to high standard. The breakfast compared to bricks restaurant is miles apart we paid the £2 charge for premium but well worth it. Service staff were brilliant Our recommendation would be to book and eat at tournament tavern and not bricks restaurant at all costs
