I'd say this was an overpriced option but it's in park food so what can you do! (£50 for 2 adults and a child under 5)
I appreciate that social distancing measures are put in place for our safety however the servers in there were working in slow motion! I queued twice for 30 mins each time just to grab a Luke warm bottle of drink a slice of pizza and some coleslaw. It wasn't apparent why they couldn't work any faster, maybe they're out of practice after some time out last year? Or new to the business? Some servers were just hanging around untill food needed replenishing. Not a bad thing when you're quite but when the footfall mounts up it seemed more sensible that they get there hands dirty and deal with us hungry peasants! After all every minute in the restaurant is another minute I'm not enjoying the park. Or the criminal £8 parking fee - another story for another day though that 😅
I know that opinions are subjective but the food quality was poor to passable. However this was backed up by the the string of individuals having a word with the manager, sometimes in the middle of the restaurant for all to see and hear. I could see he was getting a hard time with the same or similar complaint points, and probably rightly so!
Though I am certainly more practical and constructive with my approach to face to face complaints, I didn't feel the need on this occasion to throw another boot in to this poor blokes day!
So I would say this is...
Read moreOf the eatery options at Legoland this seemed the most likely to appease the whole family (8 & 5 year old children and a pescatarian). The cost wasn't cheap (£14.95 for adults and £9.95 for children) but it's an all you can eat buffet including dessert.
My issue - and cause for 3 stars - is that for a buffet the selection is very poor. Two types of pasta (tomato sauce or Bolognese), 5 types of pizza (Margherita, Vegetarian (peppers), Hawaiian, Pepperoni or Ham & Olive), garlic bread and salad. Not a great variety and plates of pizza were just stacked up. Add to this my wife noticed (after eating) that the kitchen staff used the same blade to cut ALL pizza - all food was therefore unsuitable for a vegetarian or pescatarian!
A tip I hope this place will take on board: bake a larger variety of pizza/pasta (maybe without a tomato sauce) and most importantly separate meat and vegetarian utensils. Until the latter is addressed we won't be able to...
Read moreBeen going to this food place for over 14 years, whenever im around the park ( usually over 10 times a year) I always stop in and have some food here. Quality has only increased over the years ive been there, with a few decor changes and additional ingredients to the menus. The pasta is always good quality and once it runs out up at the buffet it is always changed nearly immediately as with the pizza. There is a great choice for pizza around too, and if none takes your fancy, you can just order a pizza to be made just for you! Very good customer service, has not gone downhill compared to many other theme park restaurants. Id recommend going at an off time, because it can be very busy queuing to get in at peak time. Upon arrival you will receive cups and a legoland badge. Its more convenient to book before you go, so you can get in. Merlin discount is also taken here. Definitely worth going here compared to other places...
