It was quite difficult to get a table, but only because demand is high, and with good reason! If the website says no bookings available, make sure to ring them up, as they were able to find a table for us.

We were sat promptly at our table and the service was fast. The servers are lovely people and always happy to help with questions. This is a tapas restaurant, so we asked how many dishes are recommended. They said about two per person, and the dishes come out in no particular order when they are ready.

We ordered six dishes: cheese and spinach croquettes; baby squid; Padron peppers; Pluma pork (the signature dish); braised chorizo; and octopus leg with dauphinoise potatoes. All of the dishes came out quickly, and all were absolutely delicious. The pork was tender and covered in some marvelous marinade, the peppers had a lovely charred flavour, the chorizo was rich, the croquettes melt in your mouth, the squid was done with a tasty aioli sauce, and the octopus was really tender with a lovely flavour.

For dessert, I ordered some churros. They are deep-fried strips of dough, dusted in sugar and served with a hot chocolate dip. They were very nice and compensated for my latte, which was a little bitter.

To drink, I also had a strawberry cocktail of some kind, which was lovely.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was fast, although the seats were a little uncomfortable. But with a Spanish feast in-front of me, I...

An impromptu Tuesday meal out with a friend and what a great little find as we both love this kind of dinning.

Charlie and his wife have done an amazing job with Pluma the atmosphere takes you to the vibrant restaurants of Spain both in decor and atmosphere. Without a booking we sat at the bar tables and so reminiscent of care free evenings on the continent. This is then complimented by the welcome and service the team at Plum are attentive, but not intrusive and know the menu well with some great recommendations.

Option for a few starters the anchovies and traditional bread and tomatoes and the Gambas (Prawns) but you have to then get a half of sour dough to mop up that amazing oil and garlic ;)

Mains we opted for Ox tail and Iberico Pork and again these did not disappoint especially with some well chosen wines to chose from.

In summary Pluma is a great find and given the number of people for a Tuesday night this review is simply confirmation. We'll 100% be back and our streets need more place with the careful authenticity and attention to details.

Cheers Charlie and team wishing continued success as...

We went there for dinner, the restaurant looks lovely and the staff is very welcoming. Food unfortunately wasn’t what we expected. Bread was nice and so the olives, we ordered the meat platter which came at a cost of £10.5 and only had six small slices of three different hams (to be shared among 3 people), very sad looking platter and so expensive. When we gently told the waiter he acknowledged it, said he would speak to the kitchen but nothing happened. As a main we ordered the Pinsa a tipycal Spanish which should be fired pork with fried bread … well I can guarantee you there was A LOT of fried bread and possibly one or two pieces of pork … again expensive dish for loads of fried bread …. Then we had padron peppers … easy option hard to screw and the croquettes which were nice …. So we spent more than 100£ for loads of bread some potatoes and wine … no acknowledgement whatsoever when we made a point on the food… their food is what you expect to eat in a touristic place either in Spain or over here … Sabor toda...

What an addition to the lovely Amersham High Street. Had my birthday family lunch here. Tapas at their best. I know olives are a small thing but as the first item to arrive the opened the show perfectly. In chorizo oil. What a revelation. Then it got better and better all the way through all 12 dishes. Including deserts. What a culinary journey. Beetroot tartare and standards like croquettes, omelette etc all exactly to the point. Lava cake and caramelised brioche all to delight the taste buds. Great team as well. Was only the third day and all was smooth. Great interiors with a lovely garden extension right opposite the open kitchen. Just love it. One item to change: put an extra door between the dining at the front and the disabled toilet. Not nice for it to open into the dining space directly. Charlie, Luis and Arantxa have created something truly special. Thank you for a fabulous meal. We will be back.

Spanish food in England used to mean tins of Ortiz for a fortune. Thankfully, this mob has moved on and tries to give a genuine experience in a schmicko setting. It all works reasonably, without any but the lamb rising above mediocre spanish bar food. The lamb at £29 is pricey, but the all too young critter has been handled well, and the reduction more akin to the quality gravy you wish for at a quality pub dining room. It's a lovely dish, though more at home here than Spain. The pomfrey is well handled and reasonbly priced. A crustless paella...isnt. The stale bread isnt assisted by a gentle warming on a grill that needed its company for far longer. The desserts are distinctly lacking in hispanic orientation, save for 1 sauce, and the ice cream, though local is poor in the extreme. Good wines complete a decent place to share fair fare with mates.. so keep it couth, no pics please.
