Poundbakery — Restaurant in England

Not surprised by all the negative reviews for pound bakery in Victoria street Crewe.

I always have a sweet young lady who serves me. But after today’s experience I will never go to that pound bakery again.

I believe who served me today was a shift Manager, guessing she’s in her 50s not too sure, she thinks she has power above everyone else to treat them badly.

I went there as usual to purchase my pasty and coffee for me and my partner. So I decided to just tell her about my last visit where there was a boy who charged me full price when even though the 1 pound discount for the second pasty applies. She told me all the staff have been working here for years and won’t be doing that, and that why am I coming now I should’ve came then if I wanted refund. I told her politely I don’t want a refund I just wanted to explain what happened and thought I would get some empathy from them, as normal professional staff would speak to their customers professionally and kindly. Instead she carried on being rude.

I said there isn’t a reason to be so rude , in return she said I’m not rude and non of the staff here except any abuse from customers. Which left me shocked as I spoke politely and the one who was horrible was her. She seems so manipulative for even saying that, maybe she knows she was rude and because there’s customers around her , she thought she will get caught for bieng horrible so made people think I am abusing so made it look as if I did something wrong.

The staff next to her found it funny and was smirking. I left the store embarrassed and shaken as there was also many customers there when she was bieng horrible to me.

Went in here recently was over charged £5.00 for cheese on toast and a cheese and ham sandwich. I didn’t realise until after I had paid. The young boy had charged me £1.90 for a drink they don’t stock in their shop instead of asking me. Then ask me three after did you buy the drink from here when I walked in with the drink🙄 then he couldn’t calculate how much I was owed. Member of staff came over and ask me what happened when she was behind the counter. Re-explained she laughed which I didn’t find funny. Was given £1.90 till instead refunded to my card not impressed. The bacon and sausage baps are awful. The bacon is cooked first thing and just left there. I went in at 9am and the bacon was like cardboard. Also find the managers customer service needs a bit of work. She asked me if I wanted a hot drink with the meal deal, I said tea please, she didn't acknowledge my answer and she continued to list the entire drinks menu that was included on the meal deal.
