Rhode Island Coffee — Restaurant in England

Lovely coffee shop, the decor is so different with a little library of books at the back where you can relax and read a book with your coffee. A very stylish coffee shop and the staff are superb, if you have food they have to warm they will bring it to your table and are always helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely and calm, it can get a little busy, but I guess a lot of people enjoy this coffee shop, they play calming jazz music which is lovely and brings a continental feel to the place, when I visit Crewe I always visit Rhode Island Coffee it’s a lovely start to a shopping visit. Crewe is really struggling right now, a lot of shops have closed but I think Crewe is getting an injection of regeneration there is going to be a new bus station built and I think this may kick start a new era for Crewe, Crewe needs places like Rhode Island it would die without these establishments keeping Crewe...

Rhode Island is part of an independent chain of coffee shops; and of all the outlets, in the vicinity of Crewe town centre, this establishment offers the best service bar none. The food and the drinks menu is very good (I recommend the soup), and the decor is charming and original; a nice touch being the book exchange at one end of the room.

Update - Unfortunately on a number of occasions there has been virtually no selection of pastries on the counter and virtually every table was covered in used crockery; and the staff although courteous seemed under trained. This is a great shame and I really hope they get their act together. If that happens then I will restore...

Lovely coffee shop with proper coffee. I’ve recently come back from 2 months in Spain, where the coffee is the best you’ve ever had - and that standard is in every coffee shop you come across. Which means that since returning to the UK every coffee I’ve had has been un-drinkable 🥴 so I’ve been reluctant to try anymore, however I’m so glad I did. The coffee here was beautiful - not bitter at all. I would (and already have) recommend a coffee here! Also a special mention for the great book exchange wall, and the little kids tables with childrens books, made our experience even better knowing we could enjoy our coffee in peace while the kids enjoyed their milkshakes...
