Amazing food, I ordered the hummus, chips and salad to share with my partner and the dressing was delicious and the portion was great. Had an oat latte which was nice and hot and the atmosphere was very pretty and with the music m, was lovely. The let down was the waiting staff. Very unwelcoming and unfriendly, we assume it was because we arrived 15 mins before they closed the kitchen but this was not brought to our attention when we were sat down plus, they continued to sit people after us also so don’t see the need for the unpleasantries. It did let it down as everything else was excellent, just felt very unwanted by the waitresses. Also the egg sarnie was a bit anticlimactic compared to the other food...

Bridport in Dotset...never fails to surprise this urbanite. First Malabar Trading with its exceptional stock...then Snook with the most beautiful high end hats for under £100...shop here fellow urbanites... and now the Red Brick Cafe...definitely a kick back to another era, refreshingly so... i.e. it is different but such w o n d e r f u l fresh and delicious food...food yoga I think... in the best possible way. The ladies at Malabar recommended it...so off I traipsed into a most unlikely looking area (ah...look again urbanite!...this is all vintage stuff/shops/warehouses) and there defying its surroundings or maybe made possible by them...is this...

What a lovely location, just near all the funky vintage and antique shops, tables outside on a sunny day.

Food looked and smelled amazing.

It is cash only but thankfully there was a sign telling us where the nearest cash point was.

We were a family of 4, looking at the price of foods and beverages would have spent the best part of £100, possibly more if we had cakes and coffee too.

We live in 2025, who on earth carries that kind of cash around these days?

No doubt the excuse is that the card fees are too high, though I could be wrong. SumUp is currently just 1.69%, iZettle and Square is 1.75%

Such a shame as it all...

Quality and delicious food in lovely relaxed surroundings outside on a summers evening, the option to bring your own bottle or two makes this place good value for money. Food is some of the best in the area. We had lamb kofta with an array of mezze. Falafels looked fab too. We were advised the meat was locally sourced within 5 miles. Staff super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend both for day time coffee/cake/brekky/lunch or on a Friday evening.
