We went in for food and drinks this Sunday just gone. It was understaffed with only 1 person on the bar and 1 serving food. First of all, that’s terrible as it was extremely slow service and due to that ate into our time of the cocktails until 7.
Next issue we had was we were sent £10 off spending £30 vouchers. These were declined to be used as it was in conjunction with the tapas off. Now first of all, the email didn’t state it couldn’t be used with that offer only that a tapas needed to be included and that it was a minimum spend of £30. I also have a screenshot of this which I showed the manager who said ‘nope that’s wrong’ even though it was in black and white! We then said well don’t include the offer and we will just pay for tapas as individually priced. This was also refused. My mum whose birthday it was had a 25% off voucher. We tried to use that, again refused. Any voucher or offer we had was refused. When we pointed out to staff who agreed it didn’t state what we showed in the t+c agreed however the manager point blank refused.
Our final complaint is a couple next to us had ordered 2 cocktails in their 2 4 1 deal and paid however had to leave after his wife was poorly. They informed the manager to give us the cocktails as they had been paid. When we chased this up the manager denied this ever happening.
So overall my mums birthday was ruined by you, we spent in excess of £200 with you and we couldn’t use any of the vouchers you’ve sent us. It was an absolute disgrace.
We have been going to Cuba de revs for over 10 years now and it’s absolutely gone downhill. We will be going elsewhere to enjoy our celebrations and family time as you clearly don’t care about your customers, let alone loyal ones and your ‘offers’ sent out are a complete scam and lie as your staff just refuse to accept them and won’t tell you that until...
Read moreBooked for a bottomless brunch , as I thought , for my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately because I did it via the website it would appear I made a mistake . This did not become apparent until the waiter brought the menus over. When I questioned it the receptionist came over and explained that they normally take a deposit for brunches so they can work out how many covers to do. Totally understand that however when we said we would leave then as we didn't really want to pay full price for drinks she agreed that we could have 2 for 1 cocktails....didn't say how many though . The waiter eventually came back to is and we have our drinks order saying we just wanted two each of the same. He went off to check this was ok and came back for our order . We has been there about 25 mins at this point . He eventually brought our drinks then we sat there another good 10 mins before he took our food order. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl ,and got a wrap ! He offered to change it but by that time I was that hungry I could have eaten a scabby dog! I have never had such bland tasteless food!! The chicken was supposed to be marinated ...in what I don't know ? Probably water ! The salsa wasn't in the slightest bit spicy it was just awful. At no point did he come and ask if everything was ok ,or if we wanted more drinks Needless to say I asked for the bill after we had finished eating as we to just wanted to leave . This again took him ages to bring to the point I went to find him to ask where to pay. He came over with the card machine and asked if I wanted to leave a tip .... absolutely not !! Needless to say I will not be returning any time soon and it spoilt my daughters...
Read moreWe booked understanding that we would receive 2 for 1 cocktails. With that information we invited friends to join us from out of town. Upon arrival we discovered that cocktail offers were not available on a bank holiday….we had booked a taxi into town in order to have a good night. Three weeks prior to this we had booked for tapas & cocktails to discover on arrival they had run out of most of the meals on the menu, we had to make do with what was available. We explained to the waitress that this is the second issue we have encountered coming to Rev De Cuba; she asked if we would like to speak with the manager. The manager approached our table with no intention of resolving our complaint on this occasion, although we had highlighted that this is the second negative experience we had had. She said she couldn’t give us 2 for 1 cocktails as she would have to do that for everyone. When our friends arrived we decided to stay, eat tapas & have a few cocktails. When the Reggae Punch cocktail arrived, it was nothing like what I had received several weeks earlier. It’s s almost like the bar tender on the night makes the cocktail to their liking; I don’t feel as though the measurements are standardised as it tasted like a completely different drink. The waitress exchanged it a couple of times but unfortunately it wasn’t very nice. Overall my wife and I were disappointed with the service and will not waste our money at this...
