Was working in Derby for a week and came here on sunday for a roast.
I had the ham hock, followed by the lamb with a glass or malbec and an espresso. It came to £22.20. Im from London, so that felt pretty cheap!
The staff were very sweet and attentive, without being 'too attentive'.
The starter was very well presented and tasty. The main was huge! My standard roast complaint is that there's not enough of it! When I have a roast, I want it to leave me instantly needing to fall asleep on the sofa for a couple of hours, and that's what I got here.
Good range of veg including cauliflower cheese and red cabbage which are two of my favourites.

The mackerel starter was very average and not particularly exciting in flavor. 5 spice Pork belly was cooked wonderfully and the Herby flavoured potatoes served with it were unbelievable! All topped off with possibly one of the best deserts I've ever had. The chocolate Marquise was incredibly rich and smooth. And when paired with the creamy ice cream and sharp fruity parts it really was amazing.
