MAY 24 // Truly wonderful! What a great place to grab some excellent coffee and some excellent Italians snacks! The bread, meats and cheeses are delicious, with the bresaola being such high quality and genuinely gorgeous - the pesto is divine too! It’s a friendly and cosy place, full of life, passion and atmosphere. The owners and staff are very chatty and lovely people, and with attentive and smiley service, the whole experience is thoroughly enjoyable. There’s a load of Italian pantry staples and fresh goods on offer as well, alongside the bakes and pastries. It’s an all round cafe experience and a must visit.

Can’t wait to go back on an evening to try some wine and (given the quality of the food at breakfast/ lunch) most definitely some Italian cooking😁

JUNE 24 // We returned for the evening and boi we are glad we did! Exquisite Italian cooking, family and home-style but executed with refinement and class. A seafood pizza that was sensational and sausage rigatoni that blew our socks off with the delicate aniseed flavour of fennel, but the star of the show was the charcuterie board, magnificent! For such a great price I genuinely don’t think I’ve been anywhere for better value...

My daughter and I were fortunate enough to have stayed in walking distance to Romano's on our yearly holiday in Cornwall.

On our 1st day the family kindly put us together a beach picnic a mixture of beautiful meats, cheeses, olives and fresh salt and pepper bread. It was utterly sublime!!!!!!

The cakes and pastries are sensational. The flourless chocolate cake an indulgent Italian type brownie cake it knockout. Other favourites were orange polenta cakes, rhubarb tart and lemon tart. My daughter loved the pistachio croissants!

Fresh produce! My daughter favoured the fresh figs, peppers, strawberries and peaches. I bought vine tomatoes, capers, anchovies and pasta to make puttanesca.

Antipasto is fabulous. Coffee is divine.

This place is special. It was a pleasure to enjoy and teach my daughter about good quality food. We miss it!!! Can’t wait to return next year. Thank you for adding such experience and quality food and drink to our...

Had a lovely evening meal. Fantastic welcome, nothing too much trouble and everyone had time to chat. It felt as much like having food with friends as it did a meal out. The family are on to a really good thing, a great food and drink offering in the heart of Carbis Bay. It, along with St Ives are desperate for public spaces that provide a focus for local community and Romano’s achieves that brilliantly, before you even get to the food.

The menu is interesting, flavoring bold, brave and layered. Accessibly priced, great drinks and lovely coffee.

Can’t fault...

We had breakfast here both days we stayed in carbis bay, and we only wished it was closer to home! Authentic little italian cafe with proper coffees and a wide selection of pastries. My partner had the chocolate filled croissant, and I had the pistachio one day and the apricot the other. All equally amazing. There was a large selection of italian pastries on offer with a good variety of foccacia style sandwiches on at lunch time. If we're down in Cornwall again, we'll definitely make a visit down just for this cafe!
