Route 1033 — Restaurant in England

Now this review is based on me going in the day I cannot vouch for the service or food quality in the evening but I don't intend on ever finding out.

I've been excited to go to this restaurant since it opened but I only come to Withernsea every few months to see family. Today we finally went to Route 1033 and it was highly disappointing, I really wanted this place to be good as it was finally something different in the area. Our food took 45 minutes to come out much to the waitresses disappointment as she had requested to the chef that our food be cooked before a bigger group due to having a small child with us. Once the food had arrived two of the main dishes and our chips were cold but to top it off one of our other dishes (mine in fact) didn't arrive for another 45 minutes! By which point other people on the table had finished their puddings! Never in my life have I been to a restaurant where I've had a mouth full of pudding before being served my main. Other than the pancakes being cold the burgers weren't anything to shout home about. The waitress stressed that there is a different team on the evening so this issue wouldn't happen if we came then but wanting lunch there and then didn't help me at that moment in time. Route 1033 restaurant offers great food in a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. The flavors were impressive, and the dishes were well presented. However, the portions were quite small. Although the restaurant may be trying to emphasize quality over quantity, the small portions may not be enough for those with larger appetites.
