Further to my recent reviews, and the reply. The menu is on the wall where people were sitting and it would be extremely rude to lean over to read it. I did say that I couldn't see it so I had no idea of the prices. But a small white ( not offered brown) breadbun with a few salad leaves and two halves of a cherry tomato, with a green tea at nearly £10 is way over the top. I had a fantastic egg sandwich and pot of tea in John Lewis for just over five pounds. If you took the time to put a menu on the table it would help and not leave customers in shock....
Read moreGood food. Cooked well and fairly priced. There is a good selection from simple sandwiches to upmarket savouries. The hot and cold drinks selection is great. This is a regular spot for locals, dog lovers and grab-and-go folks alike.
Given the size, it is almost always busy inside but well worth sitting in if you vet the chance. On occasion where we have had delivery it has always been great, on time and hot.

Read moreCosy little coffee shop in Acomb and found ourselves here on the off chance. Visited on a Sunday morning around 10:30 and the café was full which is good sign.
We only had coffee however what we could see from the food being served, it all look pretty good. Staff were friendly and not up for themselves which seems to be a common thread around some cafés in York unfortunately.
