Cosy little coffee shop in Acomb and found ourselves here on the off chance. Visited on a Sunday morning around 10:30 and the café was full which is good sign. We only had coffee however what we could see from the food being served, it all look pretty good. Staff were friendly and not up for themselves which seems to be a common thread around some cafés in York unfortunately. I was disappointed by the quality of the coffee; we had an espresso and a flat white and have tasted better. I’ve also tasted a lot worse.

This little coffee shop packs a lot in. The menu is surprisingly extensive. Dogs are welcome, and given that every customer knows the owner by name, I would say it is a real hit with the locals. If this review was helpful please give it a like below.

Our first time experiencing the Friday evening bistro menu - lovely! Great service, fab food & great value for money, we’ll be back - thank you Charlotte & Jen for looking after us so well, x 👍😊

Further to my recent reviews, and the reply. The menu is on the wall where people were sitting and it would be extremely rude to lean over to read it. I did say that I couldn't see it so I had no idea of the prices. But a small white ( not offered brown) breadbun with a few salad leaves and two halves of a cherry tomato, with a green tea at nearly £10 is way over the top. I had a fantastic egg sandwich and pot of tea in John Lewis for just over five pounds. If you took the time to put a menu on the table it would help and not leave customers in shock....

Good food. Cooked well and fairly priced. There is a good selection from simple sandwiches to upmarket savouries. The hot and cold drinks selection is great. This is a regular spot for locals, dog lovers and grab-and-go folks alike.

Given the size, it is almost always busy inside but well worth sitting in if you vet the chance. On occasion where we have had delivery it has always been great, on time and hot.

The staff are really brilliant. They are warm, friendly and accommodating and do a lot to help the residents of the local community, which is...
