This local coffee shop seems always busy. Seems small at first sight, but there are additional seats downstairs. It's very pleasant spot and creates this homely feeling with warm atmosphere. You can take coffee / food to take away though if you can't find any space to sit. The cafe is popular among mums, but there's not much space for prams/pushchairs upstairs or outside. To take your stroller downstairs you have to leave the building and go around to the backyard, where you can access the basement door (the staff will open it for you). The cafe used to have a corner with kids' toys for little ones to play with, but it seems to be gone nowadays, so I'm not sure anymore if this place is good to take your children to. They may get bored. Nowadays this place is more popular with people wanting to work quietly on their laptops. There is a couple of sockets downstairs. There's only one toilet but it's very clean and in perfect condition. Baby change available. Tasty coffee and polite and helpful staff. Lovely cakes with vegan options. If you're in a rush go to Starbucks. I spent a little while in the queue, but the gentleman who was making hot drinks made me a very nice latte and apologized for the wait. They bring your coffee and cakes to the table, so don't get upset if they're busy and you have to wait. Nice place to relax on hot and cold...

I really do like the location and being able to do some work at this cafe. The coffee I order is always lovely, and the gluten free toastie tastes great! However, the service each week is hit and miss, and today, was another serious miss; actually, the worst so far. I felt like I was intruding and unwelcome at the place. Excellent customer service is hugely important to me, and today's event has really put a bad taste in my mouth. Contemplating not returning now :(

  • UPDATE - 01-JUNE-2025 * Adding here as don't know how to reply to the cafe's message below. Just to inform everyone that I have been back to the cafe twice in the last 2 weeks (end of May 2025), and the service I have received both times has been superb!!! The food and coffee was always lovely, but now the service seems to be consistently excellent now as I watched interactions with other customers during my trips. So, once again, I am happy with the place, and delighted I can now return regularly to eat, drink, and work :) Have changed the Service stars...

The place does seem to have a bit of buzz about it with the customers being friendly and has such great potential, but the staff don’t fit that buzz well. The staff are not welcoming, not sure I’ve seen any crack a smile in the four times I’ve been there. One man told my child off downstairs and it wasn’t actually him, it was a different child. Even if it was, tell me and I’ll speak to my child, I don’t need your staff shouting at my child. They also served my child a piping hot babychino…lucky I tried it first. They apologised, but it was piping hot, the cup was hot to touch, they should know better. The strawberry cheesecake muffin is great, but everything else is mediocre. £8 for two cookies and we got home, they tasted stale…I don’t know why I even paid £8 for them in first place, wish I’d just declined, but nothing has a price on it and so you don’t realise until it’s bagged up and you’re being told the total. I think it does well as there’s literally no competition close by, but it’s really overpriced...

“A 4.5-Star Mystery” The coffee here is genuinely awful. Weak, bland, and topped with sad bubbles like someone frothed it using an old aquarium pump. There’s clearly zero effort put into making it — just hot milk with a vague memory of coffee. And yet they have 4.5 stars? I can only assume it’s from people who’ve never tasted actual coffee. Or taste buds held hostage by convenience — they’re the only café nearby, and it shows. Almost £5 for a cup of disappointment. (Photo attached, because you wouldn’t believe me otherwise.) And no — before you ask — that’s not my dog’s bath water in the photo. But it could’ve fooled me.

Whilst on the hunt for coffee, any coffee, near to a son's football match, we stumbled on this gem. Not a salubrious location, but once inside... transported to coffee shop heaven. Personal glass infuser for the tea, expertly crafted flat white. Pastries served on an eclectic mix of plates and er.. bamboo mini chopping boards (seriously everyone, stop with the flat wooden serving ware). A perfect spot to relax and unwind whilst planning to accidentally get back to the game mid-way through the first half.

As others have said, expect to pay London prices. There were no price tags on any of their bakery, we ordered anyway, total cost was about £15. Nice ambiance especially downstairs but the waitress was anything but welcoming, took away our plates and cups without making sure we had finished, making it feel like we were being rushed to leave and made no eye contact when we were leaving. Won't be back in a hurry.
