As there is no option to give zero start I am giving 1 star. To start with, very disappointed by the way food was prepared and served. All of us who visited were vegetarians and we found pieces of chicken in Bhindi (Okra) and Paneer curry's. The first piece was found in Bhindi and on informing that they said they will replace with another dish. The next dish bought was not fully cooked and they just served uncut Bhindis with some onion topping. REALLY PATHETIC We cancelled that and ordered for Paneer Chilly. They bought the dish in sometime and again the same blunder. ANOTHER PIECE OF CHICKEN in Paneer also. When we asked what is happening they bluntly said the chef is new and old chef is on leave. Accidents happen and so we ignored with what happened for Bhindi but do accidents happen again after sometime ? If the chef is new he can add anything in any dish and put customer in problem ??? I am very thankful to them that even after creating such a big blunder they were so reluctant that they told me we will not charge for those 2 currys and took rest of the bill. I am sure they are not following the norms for food preparation and not sure how many customer have fallen prey for such food.
To my bad luck I could not take pictures but I will make sure some strict action is taken against this. They cannot be so reluctant towards customers.

Read moreA truly delightful experience awaits at Gandhi Restaurant in Maidenhead! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed, and the entire evening was a testament to excellent food and service. We had the pleasure of trying several dishes, and each was a standout. The Chef's Special Khandani Grill was an absolute triumph – a perfect symphony of perfectly cooked meats, beautifully spiced and incredibly tender. For lamb lovers, the Badami Lamb Shank is a must-try. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone succulent, swimming in a rich, aromatic sauce that was simply divine. And of course, no Indian meal is complete without a classic, and their Chicken Tikka Masala did not disappoint. It was creamy, flavourful, and exactly what you hope for from this beloved dish. Beyond the fantastic food, we want to extend a special thank you to Sadik, the Manager. His attentiveness, warm hospitality, and genuine care for our dining experience truly made the evening memorable. Sadik's friendly demeanor and efficient oversight contributed greatly to the restaurant's wonderful atmosphere. Gandhi Restaurant is a gem in Maidenhead, offering authentic and delicious Indian cuisine with service that goes above and beyond. We highly recommend it and will certainly be...
Read moreHi all, that was one of my worst experiences ever. My favourite place was already shut so decided to try this one a go since it is full of good reviews. I wish I hadn’t. My wife and I are vegetarian, the poppadoms tasted as if they had been fried in the same fryer as the prawns. The chutney was terrible, so were the other dips. Food was very oily, fatty and flavourless. The dough from the Naan bread was far too sweet. Could not eat half of our meal. I never write bad reviews but couldn’t give this one a miss sorry. On top of that your prices are way above average more expensive than most restaurants around Maidenhead. I mean 7£ for a side dish?? £4.50 poppadoms? A Michelin star restaurant side dish is cheaper than that!
I think you need to re assess your food or seriously adjust...
