Sambuca Consett — Restaurant in England

Arrived at 6pm midweek not to busy got shown to our table where i was with 6 other people. we sat there for a about 20mins before so one came to take our order and asked us do we want more drinks even know we have had nothing yet, we were sat so close to the bar but it some how seamed to take a age to get our drinks i think i made a joke in there that they have went too Brazil for the coffee beans. 5pound for a pint is a bit pricey aswell but its restaurant i will let it slide. So the food arrived maybe about 15mins after ordering for 7 people is good. Food was ok i went for the roma pasta could not fault really, i also ordered garlic bread with cheese which is normally a starter but you can ask to get it severed with your main meal so thats nice of them unfortunately the garlic bread was not up to scratch barely even tasted of garlic and there was a tiny bit of cheese on it. my guests did not like the pizzas said there was barely any sauce and topping so pizzas were just bland and it was like 13pound for the pizza and like 7 pound of the garlic bread. total we spent like 150ish was it worth it maybe not. Also we arrived at 6pm and they do have a 3 course meal for like a 10pound not much choice but one of my guests asked if it was still on and they were like it finishes at 6pm for the sake of 2mins could they not let you??? but not that big of a deal it was our fault for not knowing and going earlier. We recently ordered a takeaway from Sambuca Consett and were absolutely delighted with the experience! We got the carbonara, and it was exceptional. It was creamy, rich, and full of flavour, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. It travelled well and tasted just as good at home as it would have in the restaurant.

On visiting today for a Sunday lunch the staff were very friendly but the restaurant is looking run down light bulbs out tissue keeping the tables from moving.
