Derwentside Pizza — Restaurant in England

Pizza shop staff are awesome however to pay for food and the owner come in and tell everybody to leave the shop was unacceptable!! Paying for food you expect to at least receive it before you are asked to leave because the owner is TIRED!!!! Paid in full then told to leave before pizza or chips were offered to me! After telling the owner I was not happy and a few forgen words of abuse were expressed my way i expressed that I would never use his service again even if it was the only sercice open he still hurled abuse at me! Another member of staff offered appogies but I refused to take them as a business owner should never treat paying customer this way!!!! I have never been treat this way in my life as a paying customer nor will I ever enter that rude arrogant man shop ever again! If I had not pre paid for the food I would have walked out! Food arrived late and cold. Thought I would give the cheesy smash burger a go, looks lovely on Facebook. Absolutely don’t bother. Meat didn’t taste seasoned at all, grisly and fatty too. Barely any cheese despite being called a cheesy smash. Dripping with soggy salad which didn’t taste fresh (despite me asking for only onion). Fries would’ve been nice if they were an edible temperature. Tried the salt & pepper chicken curry, it was alright but I wouldn’t have it again - chicken was stringy, fries were a funny texture, not enough sauce. Garlic & herb dip is watery. Garlic bread with cheese was lovely hence the extra star. The annoying thing is, before derwentside started adding all these extra bits and bobs to their menu about two years ago, they were the best around. But honestly now I feel like they’re trying to do too much instead of focusing on the quality of the food they already do....

90 minute wait for delivery, which you are only informed of after ordering and paying through the app, I won't be using this service again !! It's a long time for children to wait for food. If id known this information upfront I would not have ordered!

Lack of communication. Requested that the driver user the back door, despite this, he was stood knocking at the front. Minor point but irritating after waiting so long for delivery!

Called to chase order, was told there was an issue with the iceblast machine, a simple phone call to update would have been appreciated.

They also got my order wrong but I didn't bother calling them after the initial long wait.

More staff required on a weekend to being wait times down and implement some better organisation...
