Disappointing Experience with Mouldy Peanut Sauce

I've always enjoyed getting takeaways from this restaurant, but my recent experience was deeply disappointing. We ordered chicken satay, and upon serving it, I was shocked to find mould in the peanut sauce. Unfortunately, my children had already started eating before I noticed.

While I understand that food can spoil, it is the restaurant's responsibility to ensure that everything served is safe for consumption. This experience left us very upset, and I emailed the restaurant immediately, hoping for a response or apology. However, it's now been 10 days, and I have yet to hear back.

I won’t be returning to this restaurant, and I can no longer recommend it to others as I once did.

Without doubt the best and most authentic Thai food I’ve ever eaten in the UK. There are SO many overpriced and under-spiced restaurants in Brighton/Hove but Sopar definitely is not one of them! We always ask for our order to be prepared as “super Ped Ped Thai Spicy” and the kitchen always delivers! But if you are not a spice fiend like us, the regular versions of every dish are delicious too.

On top of big portion sizes and lovely sustainable packaging, this restaurant seriously delivers on flavour. The tamarind duck is to die for, every curry & stir fry is a delight, and if you’re a classic Pad Thai fan you are in for a real treat when you try Sopar’s version.

Even in comparison to food bought & eaten in Thailand itself, this restaurant is a standout and a Must Try for anyone who enjoys this beautiful fragrant cuisine.

This lovely takeaway just opened not far from our flat and boy are we lucky to be a stone's throw from this place! From my initial call to ask about ingredients used to actually collecting the food and eating it, the customer service is great and the food is better than great, it is divine! I had veg panang curry and it was so excellent. The food was fresh, clean hot and oh so tasty. Thank you Sopar for the wonderful service, smiles all around on collection and food that is out of this world. It's going to be difficult to stay away from this place. The hardy cardboard food containers were also a pleasant surprise and we ate our food out of them as they kept their strength really well. Glad to not to receive our meals in nasty plastic tubs!
