The Garden Bar Hove — Restaurant in England

I hosted my charity event at the garden bar on the 15th April and I have to say, it was the best decision I made. I was meant to of had it on the 6th may but then the kings coronation was announced. Annamarie and Lisa contacted me and helped me find a different date. The communication they had with me over the months leading up to the event was more than I expected and this made me feel more positive about how the charity event would turn out. On the day of the event, the staff on duty were so hard working and went above and beyond my expectations. Having great staff like this, really makes a difference on someone’s experience. I had also ordered different canapé’s for the beginning of my event and once again I was more than impressed. The food throughout the day was so lovely and I heard so many others say the same thing. £20 Sunday roast the only Posative was the excitement of getting a roast, I had lamb the large size which is just under an average size. To be served with meat that looked like sandwich meat from a packet, all the food was under seasoned one two sprigs of broccoli, not sure why there is beetroot on a Sunday roast, they had mashed sweet potatoes, realy not necessary as there is already roast potatoes , it would be nice to have smashed sweet with white pepper and butter, if you wanted side they where £4.50 which you realy needed cos the meal was so small, however I think £3.50 is a more suit price considering the quality of the food , it stated wine gravy well mine was absolutely tasteless. It's so great to see this wonderful pub getting busier and busier and finally getting the recognition they deserve.

We've been visiting frequently for many years and were absolutely gutted when it closed for the majority of 2020 so we're thrilled it's back and thriving.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and go out of their way to accommodate you and make you feel at home. The food is also fantastic - easily one of the best roasts in the Brighton/Hove area, they also offer a smaller roast for those with smaller appetites (or suffering a hangover) which is a major bonus.

Although it's tucked away a little between Hove and Portslade, it's definitely worth the trip, especially in sunshine as they boast a massive pub garden (with booths also available).
