An absolute must-visit spot for a meal with family or friends. From the moment you walk through the door, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of charm — the building’s presentation and vibe are perfecto! The food? Exceptional — and not just the pizza (though that is the star of the show). You'll see for yourself, that every dish is made with care, using top-quality ingredients that truly enhance the experience. While the beer selection is on the smaller side, the Peroni more than made up for it — crisp, light, and genuinely brewed in Italy. None of that "brewed in Burton-on-Trent" fakery here! 😂 To start, I had the mixed olives — nothing too fancy, just a solid, tasty selection. Even the kids loved them! (they’re not pitted, so keep an eye on little ones.) I went for the Nell Emilia pizza, named after a family memeber I was told, so a nice little personal touch, and... it was sensational. You can tell immediately that they use premium ingredients. The peperoni, peppers, prosciutto, mozzarella and sauce were so fresh and tasty! The dough was spot-on: thin, perfectly baked, and the crust was actually enjoyable — none of that chewy afterthought you get elsewhere. Parking can be a bit of a lottery — you might get a space across the road if you’re lucky, but there are several public car parks just a very short walk away. If my bank balance would allow it, I’d be there every single day. A seriously impressive spot — already looking forward to the next visit!

Unfortunately, this place didn’t live up to the hype. Service was poor from start to finish and my pizza was raw and sopping wet. We booked a table for 5 on a Saturday evening and we were really excited to try this place. We were sat down with no menus and no one came to our table for 15-20 minutes. We had to keep trying to get a waiter to stop to pass us some menus and take our drinks order. We ordered starters of arancini, focaccia and garlic bread. These were definitely the best part of the meal. Then, the pizza. We all ordered different pizzas, such as the Pepperoni Lover, Hey Pesto and Pizza Lombardi. I ordered the Pizza Lombardi, which is a chefs recommended special. It was awful unfortunately. It was completely raw in the middle, it tasted like raw dough. It was also swimming in oil and liquid. Inedible. It needed much longer in the oven. We had also ordered sauces with the pizzas, which didn’t arrive. We stopped two different waitresses to ask and nothing. It also took about 20 minutes after asking to get the bill. It was busy, frantic and the pizzas weren’t cooked. Incredibly disappointing.

Amazing pizzas at a reasonable price, £15-20 per pizza, with a large selection. All pizzas are Neapolitan, hence only have a thin crust, but if you like a wood fired pizza with a thin base then this may be for you. Lovely atmosphere, dined here three times and the table placement was great each time, good space and didn't feel cramped. Only complaint would be that in table next to the large window at the front has a very weak sofa which I worried was going to break with two adults sat on it, luckily it didn't, but it was an unneeded worry every time someone got up. The table was sticky, though I'm sure we could have asked a waiter to wipe it down, but we didn't, so that is on us. Service is quick, no complaints, and they accommodated for food allergies. Very excited to return and continue to try the extensive menu, this is the best wood fired pizza I have had with quality tasting ingredients. Highly recommend.

UPDATED. * The service is not getting any better 7 months on. i felt ignored by the waiting staff. Started off OK, the young waiter was very confident, bordering on cocky, but that was fine. after our mains were cleared away we waited and waited for a dessert menu, the people on the table next to us got their dessert, the Italian waitress spent time chatting to a grouo in Italian, while we waited some more. After 20 minutes i got up and told Mr confident we'd been waiting for 20 minutes for a menu and I felt totally ignored as he and other staff had walked past us and just blanked us. I was actually very annoyed at this point and debated walking out. Mr Confident then became Mr indifferent, his attitude totally changed, we had our desserts and left. The Italian gentleman is always really nice, we paid our bill, to him, I didn't want to ruin his night by complaining about the lazy and terrible staff, but they will be the death of this place, which will be a shame as the food is lovely, but I wont continue to visit if the staff don't start doing their jobs and actually serving people and not ignoring them. I hope the management read these reviews regarding the service and sort it out sooner rather than later. I have never known service like it ***Original review 7 months ago - Excellent food, but slow service. I asked for water on the table, then chased 20 minutes later, when after another 20 minutes passed and it still hadn't arrived, I asked a 3rd time, no apology, just the roll of the waitresses eyes. It would have been 5 stars had all the staff apart from one gentleman, been attentive. The pizzas, desserts and coffee were amazing, we'll be back and just hope that the slow service was a one off. I don't mind waiting for good food, but don't like chasing...

We went for a meal here tonight and we are extremely disappointed. Our table was booked for 7pm. We ordered 1 glass of fizz and 1 glass of red wine. About 20 minutes later we received 3 glasses of wine so we pointed out we only ordered 2 (given that there were only 2 of us we thought this would be obvious). My ‘fizz’ wasn’t fizzy and I therefore queried whether it was the correct drink. The waitress said it wasn’t fizzy and that she would replace it with another one. We asked twice to order food but were ignored meaning we didn’t get to order until about 7:30pm. The starter was lovely as were the pizzas but they took ages to arrive. We didn’t receive our pizzas until 8:20pm and we weren’t asked how our food was. We asked for the bill which, again, took ages to arrive. When we received it we were charged for the 3 drinks so we explained what had happened even though it was the same waitress who dealt with the issue in the first place. They took the bill away and brought it back 10 minutes later. We commented that the service had been very slow and that we were very disappointed; she agreed and said she would speak to her manager. The manager came over 10 minutes later and said ‘you wanted to speak to me’ (?!). We explained what had happened and he tried to make excuses, for example blaming the fact that they didn’t receive our order until about 7:30pm - as if that is our fault?! He said he was sorry we felt the way we did but he was not able to do anything about the bill. The money wasn’t the issue, we enjoyed the food but the terrible service let it down completely. When we finally managed to pay at 9:05pm (after having to walk to the bar), the manager didn’t apologise nor did he thank us. Very poor service, a real shame and we won’t...
