The Blackbird — Restaurant in England

We visited The Blackbird Pub for the first time on a Thursday evening and had a great experience. It wasn’t overly busy, but there were quite a few small groups and couples enjoying drinks and food. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.

We started with drinks and there were plenty of great offers available, including deals on cocktails. The pub also had a good selection of beers on draft. A lot of people were ordering food, and there were tempting sizzler deals on steaks that seemed really popular.

The food itself is classic pub fare, better than your average but not quite high-end. That said, the value for money is excellent, which is likely what makes this place so popular with locals. Portions were generous and served quickly.

We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day, Friday evening. It was much livelier with karaoke taking place and a 50th birthday party in full swing. One side of the pub was absolutely packed and buzzing with energy from the karaoke, while the other side was noticeably quieter, perfect for those wanting to enjoy a meal or chat in a more laid-back setting.

There’s also a pool table for a bit of fun and good parking available behind the pub. Just make sure to enter your registration on arrival to avoid any issues.

Would give 0 stars if i could

We got there at 6pm.. ordered our food to be told by I believe a gentleman behind the bar that was a new staff member. He said it would be about one hour to one and a half hours wait. We said ok. It got to 730pm so we asked about our food only to be told he hadn’t sent it through to the kitchen staff! We had little children with us that were starving!..

The staff member didnt even apologise until my Mum had to go into him and tell him how bad the customer service was. He was rude overall, we didnt like his attitude and how he came accross, it was really bad and offensive! He even swore by mistake when taking our order!!

The lady staff member who was nice went to tell the kitchen staff to put put our food through and said it would be 10 minutes.

Customer service is appauling, couldn’t even see a manager about to complain!

Also, seasoned chips?! Where exactly as i had NO seasoning on my chips?!

The fish and chips we ordered said it comes with lemon slice in menu.. erm no it didnt?! We then asked another member of staff and he said he would go and get some lemons but guess what, he never came back!.. where is the customer service in this place?! Needs to be addressed.

Without customers, the staff wouldn’t have jobs!

We had 3 different lovely meals on mother's day and even got a call to say that the deposit we paid to book hadn't been deducted from the bill and to ask for it next time we came in (this was much appreciated)

Today we decided to use a 50% code I had received instead of cooking after work. Wish we hadn't it was only around 20 past 5 when I tried to order there was no grilled chicken no Prawns in fact it was hard to choose anything. I had a basic surf and turf instead of loaded (no prawns) my partner wanted a mega mixed grill (no chicken so he asked for two extra sausages instead). We was told we would have at least a half hour wait which was fine, We both asked for medium cooked steak, my partners was over cooked and mine was medium but was all just fat I couldn't chew it. No one came round to ask how our meals were as they had with others a bit earlier because by this time they were getting busy and trying to sort out others (not the staffs fault). We ate what we could as we were hungry, the chips weren't good either we left very disappointed and there were still lots of tables reserved for later how...
