This restaurant is NOT HALAL! I did not get to try their food but I went there and before ordering, I asked if their food was halal. The Man’s answer wasn’t satisfactory and I asked if they were sure it is halal. He got soo triggered all of a sudden and became rude. All I wanted to know was if truly it was halal because there isn’t some sort of evidence on the restaurant door. All he had to do was explain more and re assure me it is indeed halal. There was no need to get condescending and rude. Well, I left the restaurant because I am not the one to eat at a restaurant with very poor customer service. It turns out my friend fell for their foolery the other day as they lied to her saying it’s halal but she found out it wasn’t and they just wanted her to stay. She also had a very terrible experience with their food. I wanted to give this restaurant a try despite seeing the negative reviews but apparently I made a huge mistake even trying. This terrible!!! If you truly want a certain category of customers then why not GENUINELY accommodate them? Instead of lying to them!
Edit (10/05/2023) Once again, you are out here lying! You are saying you confirmed 3 times!??? You only responded once and got rude and condescending when I gave a counter response. If you had simply said “yes, all our suppliers are HMC registered” the second time I asked, that would have sufficed. Or you could have attempted offering a view of your certification since you don’t have any “Halal” Logo on your restaurant. But you wouldn’t do that would you? And we all know why! I ordered the jollof with beef and I got spring rolls. The rolls and beef were nice. The jollof could be better- the rice was very hard/undercooked and the sauce just didn’t taste like original jollof. Then again, it’s very hard to find good jollof rice in Leicester. I liked the beef meat with the small stew. 3/5 stars
Oh I also forgot to add, the fried rice is tasteless and they only include prawns when they feel like it- even though the description on menu says prawns are included. Not worth the money.
