Service was great, and the staff are tentative, food is delivered to your table promptly. All of the starters were flavoursome and the rotis and naans are good, although there is room for improvement for their mains. The majority of the curries appear to use the same base/are lacking depth in flavour, these include chicken,lamb and fish mains and other vegetable mains. I appreciate that some restaurants may need to operate in such a way to provide efficient service in the kitchen however the lack of flavour in many of the main courses are something to be desired in order to justify coming back as there are many other indian pub/grills that simply do it better at a similar price point. I'm in no way fussy but when it's meant to be an award winning establishment I'm expecting something close to what the website promises, maybe we turned up on the wrong evening? Overall it's okay but as mentioned still a lot to be desired before coming back here and other reviews seem to reiterate my experience. Came here tonight(Sat 18th Feb) for the first time. Was impressed! The staff were friendly, and we were asked how each course was and if we needed anything throughout the night. We started off with our drinks, the pint of Madri was refreshingly crisp 👌 and poppadoms warm and fresh with sauces. For starters, we had crispy Aubergines and a chicken tikka and kebab mix sizzler. Let me just say, I always order crispy Aubergines, and this was the tastiest ones I've had! The kebabs were moist and flavoursome. For mains, we had chicken tawa and chicken methi. Both dishes were cooked so well, I would recommend both to anyone. For naans we had plain buttered naan and a garlic naan, both naans were soft and not over buttered!
