Not many pubs like this in cities and towns now, but I value wee gems like this when I find one, and will happily go out of my way to return. As a stranger here with work, walking into this pub I was made so welcome straight away just by the staff saying hello, and asking how I am, a little small talk before getting a wonderful pint, which is clearly well kept. Venue has 2 dartboards, one either side of the main bar area. So always able to get kn and get a game.
Really friendly staff in the place.
Good selection of Alcoholic drinks, didn't really look forbthr non-alcoholic drinks as we were away for a weekend session. The drinks are also very reasonably priced.
Jukebox is great with a large selection of tunes for the money you put in. £5 and we got 30 tunes, and they had everything we wanted to hear.

Read moreIt's a Monday evening so naturally quiet with just a couple of regulars here but received a very warm welcome. Only 1 cask ale on but wish they had more (hard to find cask beers in this area of Workington) as this was gorgeous. Usually wary of pubs with just 1 available cask but the gaffer defo keeps a good ale. Proper old school pub decor but clean. Please Landlord or Landlady, get more cask ales in as you obviously have the knack. Will defo be back here when I return in 4...
