Monday evening so quiet apart from a couple of regulars but as I approached the bar, I was given a very warm welcome (quality Northern hospitality). Tried their only cask ale and was okay but would like to see pubs in this area expand their cask selection. Standard pub decor but very clean and tidy. One large TV screen with Sky Sports News on so presume popular when they show sports. Pool table is in good condition. Will pop back in here when I...

What a cracking wee gem of a pub. Spent three days working in this area and went here for a couple of post work beers each night. Very polite staff and locals, who all made me feel welcome.
