Well the experience we had at this place was not a good one.we were a party of 15 and we had steak missing from one of the meals which the manager was so rude saying there was steak on there which u could clearly see there wasn't as the meals hadn't been touched up to that point.myself and my partner had come over for the weekend to attend a friends wedding and the experience was shocking!!my meal wasn't great either my chicken was so hard it had been overcooked.anyway that was one thing that got resolved.20 mins later the same manager was shouting at the children which he had no right to do so he is not the parent so as u can imagine a nice quiet dinner with friends isn't what we got it was appalling and if this is the kind of management running the place well shame on you as I havenever been to place to be spoken down to and be accused of lying about a peace of steak when we had just spent £150.no apology no nothing just left dissapointed that we had been treated this way.i have attached a photo of the over done chicken that could chip a tooth or two.😒

Went for xmas day dinner with hubby and daughter.. had prawn cocktail to start it was OK but very small portion. Main was below average described on menu as roasted turkey was more like bernard Matthews it was horrible and dry. 2 frozen roast potatoes, 2 new potatoes carrots were OK 1 pig in blanket 1 stuffing, cauliflower cheese, parsnips, Yorkshire pudding. Childs portion had same despite most would not eat most of the veg. We got given individual gravy boats and 1 small bowl of cranberry sauce between 3 of us!!! Waitress was lovely. We had large wine and lemonade, pint of carling and a large coke which came to over £14.00!!!!! Also not disability friendly step into venue, steps into room and steps to toilets!!! We booked for 1pm it was virtually empty, no atmosphere at all

Cheap food and sometimes a wait but today, waiting times were exceptionally bad. First, nobody was available to serve on the bar for around 10 minutes. At one point the bar had to close, with a sign put up to show this. We then waited over an hour for a few small lunch meals. They were terribly understaffed, with 1 girl on the 2 bars, 1 waiter and the chef. All 3 staff were pushed to their limits and the customers around us were getting fed up of waiting too. The food was ok, SFC burger was hard around the edges. The coleslaw was missing from one plate and one had very hard bullet peas. With the shortage of staffing issue, I had nobody to ask about the coleslaw or burger, so I left it.. Nobody came to check the food was ok either. The wait ruined it unfortunately, so 3 stars.

So today me and my partner decided to go for A meal. Thought we would try the cedars. Both ordered the mighty mix grill. With drinks came to £50 food came out fast. Had two bits of food when manager Carl came to ask how the food was. After our second bite of food it’s hard to judge but also at the time Of Carl asking I was spitting a bit of chewy gristle out and placing it on my napkin. N I said at the time it’s ok again it was our second bite of food. Then as we was eating we found all of the food was over cooked peas were to the point of the shells were sharp. Chips were I ever done onion rings were that burnt that the batter was crumbling off the onion. Gammon was over cooked and we asked for medium rare. Was more like well done . Quality of steak was shocking as it was chewy as anything . Now we don’t normally make a complaint and just leave it . Didn’t expect Any sort of refund and don’t need it. But we felt the need to inform the manager as by this point we had asked for a doggy bag to give to the dogs and it was full of all the meat . After calling Carl over and explaining that the food wasn’t great. He abruptly interrupted us and said I asked you if it was ok . Yes Carl you did ask us. Maybe let us have a mouthful of food first . Then when u interrupted me the 2/3/4 Time yes I gave you as good as you got because I was ur guest and paying for food That was expected to be at a standard. It wasn’t never answer the waiters when they ask you how your food is cause clearly this is there get out of Responsibility line. Wait till you eat first . Then when we asked for head offices number we had more attitude and told they don’t have it. Another cop out . Again this Wasn’t about money this was about the food and the attitude from a so called manager. After we left my partner has been sick and unwell I called Carl back to try and explain once again to be told he’s not interested he’s busy and we won’t be welcome back . Carl you couldn’t pay me enough money to come back so don’t worry about that . Also we left the leftovers for you Carl as we care to much about my dogs to Feed...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I'm not one to leave a review but this one is needed! I went in this evening 17/12 with my family (wife & 2 children), first time being here after talking about going for such a long time we walked in, nobody to greet you we walked through the restaurant seeting and seen a young waitress and asked where we could sit, she said anywhere so that we did. The table we sat at had crackers which I wouldn't let my children pull just incase it wasn't allowed. I ordered my meal at the bar asking if they was OK to pull them and was told its fine. We was served our starter which was lovely, then came the mains. Just started to eat when the manager came over quite abrupt and rude leaning on my 8 year old daughters chair and said, I'm going to have to ask you to move! I'm sure could imagine my reaction I was not happy!! Reason for this is apparently our table was reserved for a party of 20 plus people. There was no reserved sign on the table and we was told its fine to sit there. Luckily one of the lady's from the party over heard this as did half the room may I add there was no discreetness to this conversation, she said she was happy for us to stay where we was... the manager walked off no apology nothing! The poor family who was here for the party ended up pulling tables around by themselves to try arrange seating. This is quite literally the worst restaurant experience I have ever had my wife was so embarrassed and just wanted to leave to which we pretty much did. Disgraceful service un professional we will never return. No offer of a discount nor a real apology with knowing we didn't even Finnish the meal...

Been using cedars for years but this last time was the worst. We reserved seats for 8 people a week in advance and told them we need disabled friendly table which they have done fine years in the past.

And on the day they was full after about 10 minutes of talking to the staff members they got us our tables. But it was reserved for someone else and when the family turned up they demanded we moved.

My mum tried to explain that we was put here by the staff of the restaurant but they wouldn't have it they was just moaning and arguing in my mum's face my is disabled and in a wheelchair and I was at the bar at this point my mum managed to get hold of me to get a staff member we managed to get a manager of some sort but he did nothing to help and allowed the family to be disrespectful and verbally abusive to my mum plus my Aunt and uncle witch are in there 80s. The manager then took there side and told my family to move even though we already ordered and as he could see my mum is in a wheelchair which makes it much harder for us to move tables.

I think the whole situation was handled poorly and the manager should have told them to stop arguing as they was loud and disrupting the restaurant. Plus much more I could talk about but I'll leave it here just to say I've Not been back since as it embarrassed my family for the restaurants mistake.

But they cook nice food just can't get my...
