The Churchill — Restaurant in England

Visiting a friend in the area and just went for a local area walk to find something to eat. Popped in to The Churchill as it looked inviting. Lot of older clientele in there which to me said safe and homely. Bar staff ladies were very welcoming and helpful. Was told there would be a 20 minutes wait for food as a big party had arrived unannounced but food arrived to me in about 10 minutes. Great food. Very tasty pie and good value for money. Was served to me I believe by the owner himself. Bar staff came to check all was alright with the food. Music and decor on point. Deceptively big inside. Pool table and loads of tv's. What more can you possibly ask for?...

Being the kitchen manager in another greeneking pub (Reading). Visiting friends in poole, we decided to come here. Completely different pub to what it was 6 years ago. It was a lovely atmosphere after knowing what it used to be like. The pub was clean and tidy, the meals were plentiful, hunters chicken and sirloin. 2 girls working the bar, Mel and I'm sorry I can't remember the other girls name. Had a fair experience today. The food was good, waiters were polite and welcoming, however the service was very slow. It took them 30 mins to deliver our food, and on a drinks order, after 20 mins I went to the counter and asked for my drinks, as no one ever delivered it. It was only on pint! They might be short-staffed, or maybe it's the training. My visit was 03.10.21 at about 1pm. We bought all the food from the app, 2 different orders, and later on extra drink om the app too.
