went looking for some nice Chinese all you can eat food, as you do. the room was nothing special, no Chinese drinks behind the bar, polystyrene coving falling off in a few places but were here now.. so starters arrive and we picked a few , we got a few dishes we didnt pick but no big deal, we tried three different soup types but they all arrived the same looking soup. , oh well , duck next, then the main course.. by then the salt level in my mouth was teetering on saturation. the mains arrived and it was like a salt paradise. monosodium glutamate on steroids.. i tried a few items in the soup and they floated like a cork.. bones dont float me thinks. .. the guys who were serving were young and polite. Its a drinkers paradise, its got nothing to do with food, Chinese food by name and nothing else.. very sad, wont get fooled again. We have just moved a 5 minutes walk from the restaurant and after reading the great reviews we thought we would give it a try for my partners birthday. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. However, they forgot one of our starters and then told us they had sold out (only after we chased it up). Even though the service was friendly it was extremely slow and it took almost 2 hours before we received our mains. We had to chase up several our dishes as they took over 30 mins to arrive. It may be an all you can eat restaurant but the portions are tiny and when you wait so long to be served there is no time left to eat much. We visited with our 2 children and as one of them is very tall for her age she was charged the adult price. We felt we did not get value for money at all and left disappointed in the experience. DO NOT BOOK HERE. Booked a table for valentines day on the 13th of January, booked early so we could guarantee a table. The day before the booking I called them to double check the time of my table - when they answered didn't even get a hello, all I got was 'Ill call you back 5 minutes.'... Eventually got a call back and told me they were closed tomorrow due to 'gas works.' (on valentines.) So if i hadn't of called them they wouldn't of told me they were 'closed'. However I believe they lied to me. I phoned up on a different mobile number on valentines day to ask for a table and they said 'Sorry were fully booked' and scoffed. THEY LIED TO ME. TERRIBLE SERVICE. THEY WERE NOT CLOSED. THEY RUINED OUR VALENTINES DAY MEAL. NOT HAPPY WHEN WE HAVE BEEN COMING...
