I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my experience at this coffee shop was really disappointing. The service was painfully slow, even though it wasn’t particularly busy at the time. It felt like the staff were in no rush at all, and when I politely asked about my order, I was met with a dismissive attitude rather than any attempt to help.

The coffee itself was average at best, but honestly, it was overshadowed by the unwelcoming atmosphere created by the staff. A simple smile or bit of courtesy would have gone a long way, but instead it felt like serving customers was an inconvenience to them.

I recently reached out to the café via email to book a table for a work meeting with a colleague. The owners responded very quickly and kindly confirmed that Wi-Fi was available, which was really helpful.

On the day, we were warmly welcomed by Tim, Angela, and the team, who were super friendly and offered us a choice of tables. We ordered a couple of drinks—my colleague’s iced coffee with a shot of syrup was amazing, and my own coffee was really good too.

The Coffee Lounge in West Moors is an absolute gem. Tim and Ange are the warmest hosts you could hope for, their friendly banter and genuine care for customers make every visit a pleasure. The coffee is top quality (some of the best around!), and the toasties are always spot on, delicious, generously filled, and made with love.
