Visited the delicatessen at Blenheim Parade after hearing great things. I went in just for a black Americano and fried eggs on toast. The coffee was truly excellent — smooth and well-balanced, which is rare!
That said, the service left me feeling a bit cold. I greeted the owner, Deb, twice upon arrival but didn’t receive a response, which set a slightly awkward tone. When I said thank you after receiving my coffee, again no reply or smile. Things did warm slightly when my food arrived, with a small comment — which was appreciated.
When I returned for a second coffee, I was simply met with a "What can I get you?" — still no smile or sense of warmth. Maybe it's just their style, but a little friendliness goes a long way.

The breakfast we had today was very poor with over done bacon and hard egg and very hard toast which was hard to cut through with a knife never mind with your teeth. Great service, I sat outside as it was busy inside but staff came outside to take my order and was served in very reasonable time. Very friendly staff too, obviously very popular cafe and has a lovely vibe with the customers. Definitely recommend a visit.
