Woodlands Hotel — Restaurant in England

Me and my husband, use to come here regularly for food, today we decided to go for lunch, never again, gone down hill, the fish was cooked in old oil, the mushy peas were microwaved to were they were dry, the bread you got with the meal was the crust of the loaf and toasted to make it look better, but was Rock hard, the butter that came with it was like it had been in the freezer, couldn't spread on his bread, when asked how the food was, we told them that it was poor, all we got was oh I'm sorry, we run a pub, and if my kitchen staff had of sent the food out like that,.they would be told to redo it and...

Been coming here for 40 years but we're driven out 7 months ago by the ' chavy families and feral kids' as described in a previous review. They do not go in the bar but if you choose to go in the bar you have to be prepared for a lot of bad language it seems f* is every other word. Tried sitting outside but am afraid the bad language is also used a lot outside. Seems a pity as the beer is kept well and the food is cheap and it has been our local for so long. Visited on the 28/10 and was extremely impressed. On entering the venue I was greeted with such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The team working was very approachable when I went to the bar and constantly smiled. After visiting some venues in the past it was nice to feel like the people serving actually wanted to be there. The food I ordered was definitely one of the best I've had in a pub in a long time and will definitely be visiting such a nice...
