I read the last couple of reviews and when we got here I thought we'd gone to the wrong place... The staff were lovely and even though they were one short were with us quickly whenever we wanted anything. The food was great, I had the crispy shredded chilli beef and there was plenty of it served in a crispy noodle basket. And it was actually crispy. I refuse to take photos of my food so take my word for it! They were short of deserts but the apple and toffee fritters I ordered were available and very good. Be warned about one little thing, though, to save any awkwardness... When you go to the toilet you can hear absolutely everything being said in the restaurant! So if you want to talk behind someone's back do not do it here whilst they're in the toilet! Luckily the people I was with like me, either that or they knew the score with the toilet acoustics and wanted a lift home. The decor looks a little tired, to be fair, but if you sit there examining the wallpaper rather than enjoying time with your friends/family and eating a meal then I hope you are always disappointed. It's a nice little village location, plenty of parking, reasonably priced, and very good food. Well...
Read moreI find it hard to believe some of the negative reviews on here, some people clearly expect a more gracious welcome but the owners are polite and efficient, which is why they can cope with serving the amount of food they do. I suppose some people are more delicate than others. We went last night and yet again it was excellent. Warm welcome, efficient service, we had drinks ordered quickly as we were handed the menus and they arrived quickly, and when the food came, it was all excellent. Probably the best crispy shredded beef I have ever had, and all our table loved all the dishes. We were 4, so we had one each of the 2 sharing platters (which are for 2), which were fab, highly recommended, then Singapore noodles (vermicelli), chilli ribs, Kung po king prawn, chilli chicken and egg fried rice. All excellent and piping hot when they arrived. We will be back again. Thanks for...
Read moreI first tried the dynasty when I first moved to long buckby, so 2.5 years ago. I had been in hospital and when allowed to go home, I was ravenous hungry and thought, let's get a Chinese! It definitely was a treat.
Until, I started eating it. Now, I am not fussy with food. I had one mouthful and threw it away. It was honestly the most disgusting take away and I hate throwing out food. So this all round hit me in the feels!
Very dissapointing considering I was starving and was really looking forward to it. I have never gone back to this Chinese and instead have gone to another in the village.
The food may have changed since this although honestly I wouldn't ever go back to order from them...
