My wife and I stayed one night at The Dyvels in September 2024 while exploring Hadrians Wall on our way back to York. We were both really pleasantly surprised by how charming the Inn is. Corbridge is a lovely little town with, obviously, ancient history. None of that charm has been lost gladly. Dyvels is a small cozy pub with 5 lodging rooms and a tranquil garden, but the best part was the food which was WAY better than a small pub in a small Northumbrian town has any business being. We had dinner, fish n chips for me, and a chicken dish for Mrs M. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, but with such incredible flavour. It was bone fide fancy restaurant quality, not pub grub. Full Northumbrian breakfast next morning was huge, tasty and set us up proper for a long drive. It was a really quiet Wednesday when we were there. No other lodging guests and a small handful of locals in the pub, so service was super quick. It was really quiet and relaxing, enjoying the fresh air dining out in the garden. Had a little chat with the bar staff. Very friendly, but not particularly talkative; shame as I always like to chat with locals when travelling to get a sense of life in another part of the world. Overall I'm really glad we chose to stop at Dyvels Inn and Corbridge. It's a fantastic little corner of our brilliant little island. I'd love to spend more time here. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys history, good food, fresh air and the tranquility of wide open spaces.

It's just one of those pubs that if you find it you just keep going back! The management and staff are all friendly, helpful and polite. The beer garden is well kept and the food is outstanding, I would recommend the steak pie but I won't because if everyone orders it I might miss out ! Things have changed a little since covid restrictions but the team have remained as welcoming and work hard to make you feel safe. Highly recommended a visit

We went for dinner and it was the highlight of our holiday, from the moment we walked in everyone was so friendly. The chef came out to meet our dog and hand fed him chicken which was above and beyond. The food was brilliant and so tasty as well as huge portions. We had arrived late and the chef even rustled us up a starter of garlic prawns. We wish we lived nearer so we could go every week. 5 stars is not enough !

I walked in and my partner looked at the cocktail menu only to be told I am not doing cocktails! (Danielle then proceeded to tell me i ran out of sour last night and I told “Him” and he hasn’t got anymore.) I then ordered 2 pint of inches and a glass of wine, the first inches she poured has a fly in which I mentioned but she then went on to serve someone else who apparently had a problem paying for their drink with the card reader, this is al while I waited and also another punter. She then decided she needed to put some more music on via her phone. When she eventually decided to come back and serve me she had no idea what I had ordered or what I wanted. She took away the drink with the fly in and gave me another inches and then served me my wine. 15 mins had passed by this point and I was only the second person waiting to be served, I was about to walk out but my brother had already left with 1 of the pint of inches. We eventually got our drink and went and sat outside which was full of glasses, I understand they may have had a busy day but there were 6 people out there and every table had glasses on. There where 2 people on the bar and the other person was nice and pleasant but I can honestly say Danielle was not she answered the phone to someone which I assume was ordering Sunday lunch and they got told I’ll do it later when I am not busy because I am busy now! There was 4 people waiting at the bar! God knows how she would cope if she really worked in a...

Hey what a beautiful place to go. They had certainly pushed the boat out with their outdoor seating the decking was amazing. We wanted Sunday roast and was told they were waiting for a party of 20 so our meals had to wait for 20 mins. We then got drinks and sat in the gorgeous decking in the sun. I decided to order our meals anyway and now was told that and extra 3 meals would be squeezed in and true to form our orders appeared. In the mean time my friend had ordered a coffee and wine and was over charged (well she had paid £10 for wine) within minutes staff were there. Looked back on our purchase and refunded the money. I'm so sorry I didn't get your name as you were definitely the star employee this afternoon. The place WAS busy but she made time to sort out our overcharge AND push the chef to fit in our 3 meals. I know I'm rambling so....... The food 😋 The Sunday lunch had everything you could wish for. Loads of meat, veg, Yorkshire pudding and even a gravy boat with extra gravy for the 3 of us. We took a while to find it but that was Sat Nav problem. Its actually beside the Corbridge train station. Plenty of parking too. Thank you Dyvels Inn for today and more importantly your...
