We visited Corbridge on a whim this weekend and after a walk around we dropped in here for a coffee and maybe some food. We walked upstairs and found a table (it’s dog friendly which is great).

The staff upstairs don’t meet the expectation of the place. All friendly and polite, but there’s no management in the cafe, which means everyone is just standing around and lacking in confidence. I actually had to put them right with our bill, which was originally was quoted as lower than it should have been by over 50%.

We ordered some coffees and a bacon/sausage sarnie each. The coffee was really nice but the sarnies were that dry that even the dog struggled to eat it.

They’re also trying to cram in too many covers upstairs! There’s not the space for people to sit comfortably without being knocked constantly.

It’s just a shame that the attention to detail from downstairs hasn’t made it upstairs...

Should you visit this town on way to discover Hadrians Wall then the Larder is a must to stop, and plan over a breakfast or lunch of where to go. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we went twice before the travels of the day, it is also dog friendly and will upon request and subject to your dogs requirements will provide cooked sausages. Once you have feasted I did enjoy the perusing the ground floor deli especially the local cheeses. The staff were well versed in customer service, polite and happy to help. Shame the place is over 300 miles from our home town however it could not be faulted in any way. We'll...

Second visit, happy days on both occasions, equals a galaxy of stars. Today, Corbridge Deli sandwich (the Pastrami hadn’t arrived so improvised with ham), I may have to ask for the updated Corbridge Deli next time, the ham worked wonderfully. Denise had tomato soup. Carrot and Apricot cake for me, coffee and walnut cake for Denise. The coffee was fantastic. As you leave there’s always that game of can you pass by the Deli on the way out without sir coming to temptation, of course you can’t, and why on earth would you want to. Enjoy the cafe and theDeli it’s a fantastic place with food and...

The Corbridge Larder cafe, above the well stocked main store, is - like the shop - well served with local produce and treats. Over several visits we have enjoyed excellent breakfasts as well as scones and cakes, all served with good strong coffee. The Full English Breakfast is the best in Corbridge by some distance and the toast comes with first rate preserves. Service is always fast, even when the cafe is busy, and food is served hot and in a timely manner. A real asset for the village and well worth a visit.

This place was an absolute diamond find! Nestled in the beautiful village of Corbridge, the welcome and friendliness is the best I've seen in such a long time and they are dog friendly. It doesn't end there though the whole place just exudes the nicest calming atmosphere and the food is simply amazing. There is no better place I know of in Northumberland that is truly artisan! Well worth a frequent visit if I do say so myself. Amazing service, amazing food, Amazing atmosphere!

What a lovely find, a delightful deli and then the coffee shop above. The cappucino was really good andI had a sip of their hot chocolate (thanks hubby) which was smooth and rich. The atmosphere was nice, the buzz on the shop below and restful and bright upstairs. Bits and pieces around to buy eg baskets and alcohol, busy but relaxing. The food looked amazing and I cant wait to go return (there is cinnemon toast with maple syrup and creme fresh - I must go back!!)
