Like stepping back to the 80s, food and decor. We spontaneously walked in early Saturday and managed to get a table. The staff were pretty attentive ans friendly. We overlooked the dated decor and hoped for.sp.e nice authentic Italian food. A recent holiday there giving us the taste for
The food was very disappointing. The type of Italian served in an American diner with far too much creamy sauces (likely hiding poor quality ingredients). Italian should be simple and fresh.not laden with cream.
My husband who isn't fussy couldn't finish is main as he said it was making him feel sick. Consequently he hasn't eaten breakfast or lunch today as he feels a bit "off" after the meal.
We also ordered just a glass of Shiraz each. Both enjoy a red wine and neither of us could finish the glass. Unsure what it was but we could taste the hangover after one sip. Considering how little we ate and drank, it was expensive for the quality.
We've walked past this local venue a few times and always been curious. The reviews on here look reasonable but from our experience we won't go back. Shame.
The service wasn't bad. The waiter and...

My son and I had got back from holiday that day and just wanted a quick, simple dinner. We only ordered a pizza and a chicken crema, a bottle of beer and two small Cokes, but the service was quick, friendly and attentive. Eavesdropping on the adjacent tables, it sounded as though the waiters had a good knowledge of the wine list. If we'd had more time and energy I'd have fancied the pepper steak and a nice bottle of Barolo.
The bill was only £30.40 and, when I handed over two twenties, they rounded it down and gave me a tenner back. I had to ask that they split it so I could l leave a well-deserved tip. We'll...

Having a strong background in Italian cuisine and visiting based on a recommendation, expectations were high—and they were fully met. Highly recommended are the generously portioned seafood starters, as well as the expertly prepared tomahawk or rib-eye steak. For dessert, the lemon ice cream served in a frozen lemon is a standout choice.
