The Falcon Pub Theale — Restaurant in England

On arrival the barmaid was friendly and advised us that she needs to speak to the boss to allocate our room. After ten minutes the barmaid handed me the phone, to be told that “ you did not book no room”. We did however have confirmation from booking.com. So she hung up. She then stormed into the bar area and snatched the confirmation for us and disappeared for fifteen minutes. When she reappeared we were instructed to follow her to a room that had no table, toilet, chair, china cups, soap. The decor was substandard and minimum space to get in and out of bed. There was no clear fire eascape instruction, and when I looked couldn’t see a adequate fire escape. Although the pub/inn looked old and full of character it was dirty and badly maintaintained. Me and a couple of work colleagues stumbled across this pub thought it had character until we got in there can honestly say it one of the worst places i have ever been in we ordered a round of drinks and couldn’t believe the prices seems to be any price set no price listing not at all friendly or welcoming bar was dirty and sticky need a good clean empty glasses everywhere landlord was rude and seemed to be drunk. Bar lady was polite but seemed to be having a issue with a drunken local that seemed to be acceptable in there totally shocked couldn’t wait to leave.
