The Fig Tree Barton — Restaurant in England

Called in for lunch as we had been heading to a nearby cafe which was closed. What a lovely menu, lots of alternatives to the usual offerings. Suitable for vegetarians but not exclusively veggie. I had a dipping plate. Salad with dressing, a stack of carrot and cucumber sticks, pitta bread, a bowl of olives, halloumi (my friend ate that for me), garlic bread and some dips. All delicious. We had 3 breakfasts and one jacket potato with sides. It was cooked just perfectly. Bacon was the nicest I've tasted for a long while. Food was presented on the plate very nicely, it wasn't a mix mess. There's nothing very special about the decor but we go because the staff are friendly, the food is always excellent and the cakes, all home made just perfectly delicious. Well...

Took our little granddaughter there today and all the staff were really lovely, couldn’t have been more helpful. Let her choose her plate colour, provided toddler cutlery, and asked if anything needed to be changed to suit her tastes.
