The Foresters Arms — Restaurant in England

Dirty, smelly and noisy. Absolutely appalling. I stayed on my own on Saturday night and had to fight my way to the bar through drunks to try to check in. I waited twenty minutes. I was shown up to the single room and told absolutely nothing other than if I went out late which door to use. The room was run down, with broken toilet an iron on the floor, dirty kettle, dirty curtains and a broken bathroom suite under the sink. The room absolutely stunk of fried food coming up from the kitchen underneath and stale beer. It was horrendously noisy with noise from the drunks downstairs and children running and screaming in the corridors that the room was in. Loud music was playing and there was a busy main road outside. Expedia do not put any of this on their description. The television kept breaking up with picture and noise. This whole stay was the most awful experience I have ever had. I tried to find somewhere else but everywhere was booked up that night. I was very tired as I had been with my daughter all day competing her horse so I gave in and stayed. To top it all the internet was some weird process of getting on to which was not easy. Excellent value for money! Rooms are squeaky clean & housekeeping visits every morning, hoovers & refreshes the necessaries. Clean, crisp, sheets on very comfy beds, with plenty of pillow choices provided. Good Strong free Wifi signal - fast enough for YouTube / streaming. Piping hot fresh food, small wait as everything is cooked fresh upon order. Good selection of beers & sprits at the bar & very friendly service, nothing to much trouble. Lovely pub, food is great and very tasty, landlord needs slight customer service however bar staff and cooks were fantastic, quite disappointed with the room see through shower next to window, tap sinks broke and heating never came on, also major creaky landing outside our room so could hear everyone who walked past as my room on main road wide awake at 5, I can't fault the traffic as I picked location but no glazing, did have lovely beer garden allowing animals but won't...
