Went here a couple of months ago with my Wife and noticed the price of hot drinks had risen considerably, you can now possibly pay the same for a pint of beer locally as much as you would for a Latte or Cappuccino here. I go here regularly on a Saturday morning after parkrun and no end of times my friends will be left waiting and wondering if they'll ever receive the cake they've ordered to takeaway. Sometimes the extra hot Mocha I've ordered will actually be extra hot other times luke warm. You may get a 'biscoff' style biscuit with your drink or you may not. It can get busy in here and with the exception of the garden the cafe can't cater for groups of 5 or 6 wanting to be with each other. The place needs a refit, the counter is massive and I find the seating arrangement quite claustrophobic alongside the queue for the till during the busy periods. On the whole the food is spot on and the drinks are nearly worth it. The alternatives for my post Saturday morning run are either Starbucks or Costa, 2 places that Sandra and Justine wouldn't entertain when asked a few weeks ago... I guess their cheesecakes or 'The Naughty One' doesn't inspire them like The...

I hadn't been to the Deli for over a year, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was now twice the size, decor was lovely. When we went up to the counter it took some time to get attention, no eye contact by woman in kitchen, i could see she was preparing foid, but all she needed to do was acknowledge our presence, and offer a welcone and explain she will be with us shortly, bur insyead it was a bit awkward,, Making us wonder what procedure was for ordering. On a positive, good variety of menu choices, portion was very good, and the panini I had was very tasty including side salad and coleslaw, however cold drinks were not mentioned on the menu (apart from milkshakes and iced coffees), I only noticed the we drinks fridge as I was about to pay for my lunch.

It was rather noisy in the cafe, most of which was coming from the kitchen counter area, I have no idea what all the banging was about, but due to high ceiling it may have made noise worse. I never understand why cafes are not more aware of how loud noises impacts the...

The food was delicious, however having just come from a wonderful massage I am full of tension again. I hate to write bad reviews. The staff were so unfriendly. I was met by a middle aged lady where I had enquired about food. I was abruptly told to go round to the til and order no niceties or pleasantries at all. I wasn't aware I was on the wrong side and I was made to feel like a child. I ordered my food with a slightly friendlier member of staff who got frustrated I didn't have a table number. Being the first time I visited I wasn't aware you needed a table number. Another slapped wrist. I was shown to a dirty table which hadn't been wiped. The tea I was given was served in amazing pottery but was slapped on unclean table and the teas spilled and no apology and no offer of a wipe up. I can't complain about the food it was lovely. I had a cheese, pesto onion and tomato panini. Lovely. If the attitude of the staff had have been different this would have been a great little visit, such a shame really. I...

We had such a wonderful time at The Garden Deli, having afternoon tea for our friends baby shower. Really accommodating with dietary requirements, nothing was too much hassle. We were given a lovely space that was semi-private that we were able to decorate for the special occasion. All the staff on the day were really friendly and very helpful with drinks. Atmosphere was fantastic within the venue and all of the other customers. The afternoon tea was absolutely, amazing value for money, all fresh, tasting delicious and everyone was left completed stuffed. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend excellent venue. Thank you so much xx
