The Garden Room Restaurant — Restaurant in England

Wonderful! My wife has severe allergies and everyone was super accommodating from the moment we arrived, even the chap behind the bar knew about them and the chef could explain all the changes made to each dish - very reassuring.

We had the tasting menu and the food was excellent, not as excessively and unnecessarily posh as some places - no foamed essence of unicorn - just the best version of each food item you've ever eaten, served with a smile and a warm welcome.

Will definitely be back next time we have something...

This was a Christmas present from our daughter. The setting is lovely, staff are excellent and the actual afternoon tea was in my top 3. I preferred the savoury items (saffron arancino and chorizo quiche) and the sweet stuff to the sandwiches. My favourite sweet things were the carrot cake (gorgeous) and the chocolate slice. The buttermilk scones were very tasty. Good choice of teas, I had Lapsang Souchong. They also did a great alternative for lactose intolerance. All in all,...

Overall nice experience, unusual idea to do a tasting menu in a hotel restaurant, in need of better advertisement. Very accommodating and attentive staff especially for dietary requirements. Somewhat slow service and a lack of taste variety, could have done with more carbohydrates but lots of nice extra touches from the manager. Recommend to those looking for a more formal dining option...
