Tea on the Green is a charming little coffee shop tucked away near Bolton Abbey—a lovely spot to rest your legs after a walk. It has a quaint, cosy feel with friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere that fits perfectly with the surrounding Yorkshire countryside. The setting is delightful and the service was warm and welcoming. We stopped in for a quick drink and enjoyed the relaxed vibe—it's clearly popular with both locals and tourists. A great place to pause and take in the scenery. That said, the drinks were on the pricey side. While everything was nicely presented and tasted good, the cost felt a bit steep for what was essentially a fairly standard coffee and tea. It’s not unreasonable for the location, but still something to be aware of if you’re popping in for a quick refreshment. Overall, it’s a lovely little place worth visiting if you’re in the area, especially if you appreciate character and charm over chain café efficiency. Just be prepared to pay a bit extra for the setting!

Tea on the green cafe is an absolute must-visit after a walk around Bolton Abbey! Their selection of cakes is fantastic – so many delicious options to choose from. Whether you prefer to sit indoors or enjoy the fresh air with a view, they have ample seating both inside and out. It's the perfect place to relax and refuel after exploring the beautiful abbey grounds. Highly recommended!

The BEST breakfast of all the places to eat at Bolton Abbey. Start your day here first! Dog friendly! It’s actually better quality than the Devonshire arms breakfast in our opinion. Every time we visit Bolton Abbey we head here first and get some of their home made jams / chutneys with a breakfast and some coffee.

We have just had a birthday catered for by Tea On The Green, it was absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing - not just your usual party food! We had a selection of roast meats, feta and sun dried tomato tartlets, mini Yorkshire puddings with roast pork, roasted potatoes, a mixture of really flavourful salad, crusty bread and vegetarian wraps that weren’t on the menu but they were able to accommodate this for us no problem! We also added in a cake selection of fresh fruit tarts, lemon posset and Yorkshire curd tarts - they were all fantastic! The quality of the food was exceptional, it was amazingly all cooked fresh that morning and it was amazing value for money! Cath and Stuart were great throughout and kept us updated with everything. They had thought of absolutely everything including plates, cutlery, food cards and even a cool box for the chilled items. Thank you so much Tea...

A lovely friendly cafe. Staff can't do enough for you. Ordering is done at the table and service is quick. We'd missed the breakfasts, which aren't served passed 12pm, and our first choices had sold out but the food we did get was lovely. Coffee was excellent as was the tea. Only teeny tiny improvement I'd make would be to provide more milk...but there's enough staff going and froing to ask. Sit inside, out back in the courtyard or at the front of the cafe. The cafe has charm, good food and excellent staff. We...
