I feel really angry and disappointed. The price actually paid not the same as menu. The roast duck show in menu is £13, we think it’s acceptable, so we ordered it, but finally requested us to pay £16, we asked why it’s expensive than the menu, they said the duck is from Cantonese, so it’s more expensive. oh my god! !We just need the one from menu, we didn’t requested a duck from Cantonese! ! This behavior seriously deceived consumers. What’s even more outrageous, 2 bowl of rice costs £8.5, this is the most expensive rice I’ve even eaten. Service charges us 10%is kind of acceptable. So 3 dishes cost us nearly £80, It’s really expensive, I will never come here again and will also tell all my friends of the bad experience.
It’s unbelievable that they are lying in my comments ,but I can not comment back ,so I reedit my review again. We did not cancel the booking and 1 day before the day, we rescheduled the booking 1 hour after we booking!!!!!! We walked in last Saturday and want to dine in, they told me that there is fully booked and then we have to book a table , so we booked the next day and 1hour later , we called them reschedule to this Saturday!!! They are lying !!! They did not tell us the duck from Cantonese is more expensive than the duck from England, we didn’t pre ordered the dish and just point this one from menu, we didn’t request a duck from Cantonese, they are lying !!! They didn’t even tell us the price of goose feet when we asked. We still didn’t understand why the rice is so expensive as we just need the one with normal price. This is the first time I write review because the experience do...
Read moreWe booked a table at Gold Coast for 8 p m on 13/07/24 . On arrival there was no table prepared and we was put in a corner next to a plant which made it very uncomfortable. During our starters the waitress flicked a tablecloth preparing a table next to us in our direction with force flicking good knows what on to our food totally unacceptable . Then during our main course the owners decided to sit at the table next to us and started doing their accounts and sorting out their money - again totally unacceptable, we go to a lot of restaurants all around the world and have never experienced this , the bill was just shy of £100 for 2 which we feel we deserve better service , came away very disappointed, we visit Southend regularly and have been here before , it has got dearer and the service has gone down , this not a reflection on the 3 youngsters working in there they were impeccable and were courteous and had manners something the owners should take on board, if in the area try Mr Pings in Southchurch for better service , food and value for money , we'll not be visiting this...
Read moreBooked the venue for the work Christmas party, and apparently it was supposed to be just us downstairs. They double booked another party and we had to share the space with other people. Food was a bit late, they wouldn't replace it in time as we were 2 quite large groups with an appetite so there was times when you couldn't eat anything as the buffet was empty. Also couldn't order drinks at the table, had to go to the bar and buy them, a colleague of mine asked a waitress for some tissues and the same answer "you have to go to the bar and ask for tissues". The cleanliness of the toilets was just apparent, as if you were to touch the doors or the walls they were greasy and sticky. All in all would not recommend it, forgot to mention the food...
