Food is OK, service really isn't the best, but so as long as you're not expecting too much, you wont be disappointed. The inside is very small, so making your way round the table to get to the counter really isnt easy! However, in the summer the cafe usually has a live musician playing outside and the atmosphere is amazing! I love coming to this park and the thing that attracts me the most? The water, ducks and the swans! There is now a feeding point by the basketball court side of the pond. It doesn't accept cash, so you will need a bank card/phone. It also doesn't tell you how much a portion is until you tap! Seems backwards to me, but if you're interested, there are 2 sizes and the smaller portion will cost you £1. I guess they have installed this to stop people feeding bread to the ducks/swans. If they added a couple more, I think...

I have being going here for years and I have to say lovely people great food, but sadly they’ve redesigned the seating for no obvious reason meaning that instead of being able to sit at a table with my wife we now have a couple of tables in the middle and bar tables round the edge which not only put you at the wrong height to eat comfortably but mean when it’s busy you’re crowded together sitting next to people you don’t know for dinner, like school, what possessed them to do this is simply beyond me. I first went here in the sixties as a child and I’m afraid I won’t return , we like to eat as it was not crammed next to a noisy gross eater as we were the other day. And for what, I can’t see they’ve gained much in the way of space. As I say great food nice owners but the seating has for me ruined what was a lovely place....

Food was not good one time I went chips were very undercooked and next time i went my fish fingers were very oily and very hot for ages that I found them hard to eat. when I asked just for fish fingers with out bread they couldn’t give me no bread so they gave me the bread and I left the bread what a waste and the toilet next to cafe was closed and the other toilets available were not nice. The menu is not very good as I think the options are very limited. When I have eaten here twice before the food was ok not bad a bit large but ok but since the two times the food was nice it then wasn’t nice at all after that. On the plus side people say the coffee is nice and everyone has different view...

Always a lovely cafe here and even better in the summer. Stopped here on a walk out and it's been a while since I visited. Service was great, staff were lovely. It wasn't that busy due to cold weather so we got served fast. Booths around the edge are a great idea for all weathers. Coffee was nice. Food though, sausage and egg sandwich was ok, sausage tasted of very little. My partner had a cake which she actually didn't finish because it was dry and tasteless. I tried it and yeah, really cheap stuff. She never does not finish a cake! Shame because it's always such an excellent addition to the park.

Great little cafe. Staff seem happy and willing to provide very good customer service. There are a selection of cakes, icecreams, hot foods, cool foods and drinks. Limited indoor seating is available but plenty of outdoor benches, chairs and tables. Parking is free but the carpark is not nextdoor. It is just across the pedestrian Bridge and the playing field. Also free parking around most of the nearby roads, but keep an eye out for those permit parking areas.
