Highland Laddie "Norspoons". Wetherspoons... it is like Marmite, you either love it or hate it. After 20 years of visiting the "Laddie", we have seen many changes. Alsa, we now love to hate it. Yes, they sell fair priced drinks and fair priced food. The last few visits however, it was difficult to find a table that did not have plates with left-over food on it. Access for disabled.... a good side entrance to access the place, and that is about it They do have a ramp inside to gain access to the bar and tables, though you will never get to the bar or a table where you could place a wheel chair. Profits come before people, and by placing another two tables to squeeze another four people in; they effectively block wheelchair access. This again when trying to gain access to the toilet. If it is not "Creche" day with prams and high chairs, they have tables as close to the toilet and baby area that makes it very difficult . Table service via the app, pretty fair and quite quick; if you can find a table with a number on it. Bar service, you get fed up of waiting behind the person who wants to order "Egg on toast but change the egg for tomato and change the bread for crackers etc." You may also notice a queue of four, despite staff around doing very little. A previous Wetherspoon employee told me that "It was policy not to put more than one bar staff on if the queue was four or less."

Still, it does have a small outside area which can catch some of the sun, yet there should be more policing of the "No smoke and vape" policy.

So, love it or hate it, somehow it is always popular. So give it a try next...

I never ever write reviews but will today as the serive off one person was discusting. First of all I bought me & my daughter a drink she didn't bring her ID out as we wernt planning on going into a pub anyway we called in ordered food service at the bar the girls were lovely after I went to my table this person came over like fuming angry saying did my daughter have ID but in a very aggressive manner I said no so she said she couldn't have the drink which was fine I understood but what I didn't understand was why she came over so mad raising her voice so everyone could hear and look at us she only had to say it politely not like she did and saying there was cameras watching us like I already said it was fine but she continued to be angry I don't know why tbh I found it all very strange I then went to the bar for a J20 where she followed me whilst I ran back to the table for my card talking about me to the bar girl who was lovely and found the woman strange herself I did confront her as she brought our food and said there's a way to say things she didn't need to come over all shaking with anger and shouting for absolutely nothing. Maybe she could spend her time doing more useful things than stalk customers not sure of her name she was very tall dark hair tied up tattoos...

We have been here a couple of times and it always delivers a good meal and atmosphere. However on this trip it has put me off coming back.

Firstly the food, we order chips with lashings of Curry sauce... We received a plate of chips with a spoon full of curry sauce, covering about 1/4 off the chips. We had to ask for more sauce, which the staff were more than happy to do.

Out of the 3 all day brunches we received, all 3 eggs were burnt, to which we had to ask For new eggs.

My partner ordered scampi, however what we received wasn't to nice. It was well over cooked, to the point where the batter had turned dark brown. We didnt send this back as we were already fed up of complaining.

The chicken wings where over cooked, and the crust became to Sharpe and dry, so eating them was a struggle. The sauces that came with them, wasn't to helpful as well and tasted cheap.

I know that weather spoons isn't fine dining, but this is the first weather spoons meal we have head that didn't deliver to a good standard. The place wasn't to busy, so I am not to sure what was happening in the kitchen. However the staff were more than happy to help and everything we asked they did without a issue. The tables where nice and clean, however they do clog them up with...
