Me and my parents went here for a nice meal as we have wanted to go to an Indian restaurant for ages, and so we decided to come to Jolsha, Norton. It took only a few minutes before we got seated, which was good since the day we went was extremely busy. The atmosphere was nice and we felt welcome but the tables were really close together so everyone was packed in quite tight, but this wasn't much of a problem for me. This restaurant isnt wheelchair friendly by the way, as there is not much room to maneuver and there is a large step to get inside the restaurant. A waiter brought out 4 dips (without asking - and this happened to everyone) and poppadoms. We assumed these were free as they were given out without asking, but later on we were charged for them! Each dip being over £1 and the poppadoms being £1 each. The other problem was that it took 1 hour and a half for our food to come! And this is the normal sort of waiting time - there werent many people in the restaurant actually eating because barely anyone had their food. Although, we ordered a cheesy naan, peshwaari naan, egg pilau x2, lamb pasanda, chicken korma, king prawn tikka masala and anion bhajis. The food here is very filling and extremely nice, and I would still go here again. It was still a nice experience even though there was a long wait - but if anyone at Jolsha is reading this - prioritise your in store customers over takeaway orders and have faater service!

i am very angry that i booked a table for 12 people for my dads 70th birthday.. TUESDAY NIGHT. offer was 20% off.. we paid full price.. when queried we were told our £288 bill didnt warrent the discount as it wasnt available anymore despite been advertised.. the other offers were still available on the same framed poster.. I have been eating in Jolsha for years.. celebrating many family celebrations !!

First time coming here, definitely won’t be the last. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. The photos I took don’t do it justice. Great deal as well 4 courses for £16 on Sundays (and Wednesdays I believe) which includes poppadoms and a variety of dips, starter, main and either naan bread or rice. Very nicely decorated inside as well with lots of attention to detail.

Been going here for a while. I’ve had some really nice curry. Some of the best but more and more lately as each time I come my opinion has dwindled but tonight has just put the icing on the cake. I have had dietary issues so I changed to vegetarian. I’ve asked for this for the last few months but stipulated to have green vegetables like spinach & okra. I’ve had a nice lamb & okra in past but since asking for Veg they literally gave me one piece of okra and filled the rest with potato. I complained tonight and they said literally potato was the vegetarian option! I think this is literally disgraceful to use the cheapest vegetable and charge £8-9 for a curry. I well never come here again and I said if you can’t make me a vegetarian version with fresh vegetables I’ll go elsewhere and they were happy with that. Seems like each time I go I’m a burden. Customer service is abysmal Please do yourself a favour and save your money from this unappreciative establishment! Especially...

Ordered takeaway Sunday 22nd Dec 24 really looking forward to it as have eaten in restaurant numerous times and food always marvelous. 2 x chicken and mushroom dupiaza, 2 mushroom rice and portion of chips. I'm gluten free so can't have Nan or popadom from here. Was told £31.05 plus £2 delivery £33.05 Driver turned up 40 minutes later and asked for £35.05 I said I was quoted £33.05 he said £2 for delivery. I gave him £36 So looking forward to food, opened up, chips cold rice cold curries tasteless and swimming in Ghee. Threw it in bin. Food restaurant to complain, boss not in they said they'd tell him and sort us out next time we eat in restaurant. Well guess what they never, he fed us some long winded story about delivery and basically couldn't give a poo. Wont rush back. Shame really cos food in...
