The Hub — Restaurant in England

So I thought I would visit the hub today as my past experiences have been pretty good. We had been talking about visiting for a while but now I wish I hadn't! I always thought the staff were lovely but today was a completely different experience. We arrived fairly late in the afternoon and were told they had stopped serving food which wasn't an issue. Ordered drinks at the till which to be fair I'm not going to complain about that to much.. ordered 2 deluxe milkshakes that were brought over by a member of staff but forced into one of my friends hands, no thank you or enjoy or anything, we were talked about the whole time we were sat there and upon leaving I said thanks ladies which they then mimicked back.. if that's what the service is going to be like I can certainly find better places to spend my money. I'm sure the food is very nice but we didn't feel we wanted to stop and find out. We wanted to sit outside but my friend needs a chair she can get in and out of easily due to her disabilities but the metal outside chairs are low and very small. So I went inside and politely asked a member of staff if I could take one of the better, wooden, inside chairs outside. Whilst she seemed to agree to it, she didn't seem at all happy with me. We got settled but an ash tray was overspilling with cigarette ends and had an unpleasant smell, so we had to move seats. There was a bit of rubbish about as well so I had to tidy that up. An outside table was over-crowded with a large gang of loud and boisterous locals who seemed drunk or drugged, many of whom were smoking. That was rude. I literally just sat down outside whilst I was working out what to do n whether to get a drink as I was finishing off a snack and I got told to move. This area used to be completely free to sit in before they appeared which they even had the cheek to argue against after I apologised and noted the fact. (Random fact me and my family used to sit there because of the Greg's nearby before your cafe) First time visiting out of interest, never coming back.
