Me and my partner found this place when really hungry! We both were warmly greeted and sat at a nice sunny table! Rlly nice atmosphere in there, easy to talk as it wasn’t very busy at that time! Lovely staff brought over a water bowl and some treats for our dog too which was lovely! My boyfriend enjoyed his Cider and I loved the chocolate milkshake! We ordered the chicken burger and chips as it was one of the slightly cheaper options- £17 per person, was rlly yummy and they put the sauce on the side for my partner and no tomatoes for me! Very accommodating! They checked we liked the food which was nice, but once finished it was quite a while before I had to call a staff member over for bill/ pudding menu! I would’ve gotten the crumble as it sounded lovely! Boyfriend wasn’t having one though so decided not to! We paid in cash, the staff was standing at the table to collect payment which felt a little bit pressuring to give a tip- unfortunately we only had £10s and £20s and due to the price being higher for a lunch than we were originally planning we weren’t able to tip this time. Read moreVery disappointed on last visit we visit the Kitchen on 4 occasion in the last 7 days, 1 take away and 3 times eating in for evening meal, first 3 occasion food, drink and service were excellent. My wife had the pear and walnut salad 3 times I had it twice from her recommendations. The 3rd time we chose the pear salad it was prepared by the 3rd different chef in the 7 day's. The first two chefs cannot be faulted the food was excellent as per menu, plenty of lettuce, walnuts, pear and small cubes of blue cheese, cranberries and a honey dressing. 3rd chef on last visit was disappointing lot of lettuce, not much blue cheese looked like a few cubes quartered as was the walnuts and pear strips the crouton were omitted and the dressing was like a garlic mayo. My son chose the halloumi burger had it before it was excellent chose it again on last visit completely different very oily and included sliced tomato not on the menu description thou. My son does not like tomatoes they don't always agree with him so if they are on the menu they are omitted. The service was very good...

Two of us had the fish gougon sandwich, I can honestly say it was the most appalling “sandwich “ Iv ever had. The deep fried offering was obviously dumped on the dry stale bread straight from the fryer, so the oil (which tasted well past it sell by date) soaked into the bread over a couple of leaves and tartar sauce. Vile. We told the waitress when asked if all was ok, that no it wasn’t. She replied that they had staff problems and took 50p off the the £9.50 sandwich. Won’t be back....
