A friendly waitress served us in the beer garden with a couple of "light" lunches. As you can see from the photo's the food was delicious. We were checked up on occasionally (just right) and beer was brought at regular intervals, helping to wash down the fantastic meal. Even better was I could walk (stagger??) home. Ideal. Will we be back? You can bet your life on that! Fantastic local pub.

Lovely little local pub in Mabe. Friendly atmosphere, cheerful staff, happy to welcome you and your dog. Great selection of beer and the food menu looks impressive. Geoff says hi.

Went in for fathers Day meal, they had steaks on the specials board which some of the party wanted but was told the chef wasn't cooking sauces today, you can have anything that comes in a bottle i.e red or brown. They have peppercorn sauce every other day of the week apart from when they specifically put steaks on as a special?! So all went for roast pork instead, main course good, apart from never enough vegetables as they are served seperately in small bowls to share. Biggest issue is the deserts were tiny for £6 each. Asked if they were a childs portion when they arrived and they just said that's it. The week before they were much bigger and should be for the price. That was both the fudge cake and bread and butter pudding. Complained again on paying the bill still no recognition of the issue. Probably wouldn't eat...

This is what many people quite rightly call a traditional cornish pub. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly explaining how the covid rules work in the pub as its different in each pub we have been to. It was not a problem that for work reason we can't use the track and trace app. Food was very good with large portions being the normal way of of things. I did try the real ales and the Doombar was well served and well looked after and was very nice to drink alongside the large fish and chips that I had. So if you are in the area worth a look, but bear in mind that this pub does get busy and it does have locals who also appreciate that they have a good pub on...

Proper tasty, uniquely curated dishes that will surprise your taste buds. We’ve been slowly working our way through the whole food menu, including our 9 month old child, there’s something for everyone and the children’s portions are just as uniquely curated at the adults!

Can highly recommend : The “Dirty Mash” as a side or for your child like we did! The “New INN Beef burger is absolutely banging!

Tonight we had the Heritage Sausage and my word was it the best Sausage and mash We’ve had out!
