Visited a few weeks ago on a weekday evening around 6pm. Checked the website before arriving and saw a Noise band were booked to play. There were no details regarding ticket prices were listed so assumed it must be free.
We walked up to the bar and were told we wouldn't be able to drink inside unless we paid £5 to watch the band, but we could drink outside which was fine by us. We then asked to order pizzas but were told we couldn't eat outside so we'd have to wait till the gig and pay the £5 entry fee.
The band were sound checking at the time which was ridiculously loud, to the point the staff were wearing industrial grade ear protection. Not exactly the environment you want to be trying some nice beers and eating pizza.
While sitting outside, every other group of people were served pizzas which was confusing because we were told we could not order food to the outside seating for some reason.
Eventually we got tired of the mixed messages and bizarre rules and headed to the Verdant Seafood Bar in Falmouth which was a completely different and vastly superior experience.
Overall, it looks like a decent taproom, the two beers each we got were good but it's a shame the staff made it almost impossible for us to stay and try a few more.
A recomendation to the venue would be to improve your online and staff communication so customers visiting from afar aren't...

drinks - the drinks had a large variety from lo/no , softs to on tap . They also had cans to take away . (Please note they charge corcage fees if you drink cans within the premises - totally fair but just be warned)
Food - we ordered the pepperoni between the two of us and actually went and ordered a secondary Mariana pizza meaning we had a whole pizza each by the end of it ! Although absolutely stuffed they were Devine . Quite possibly one of the best pizzas Iāve had within the UK . Very similar to pizzas within Napoli ! Top tier .
We came in in a Saturday and the only reason this is a 4/5 star review was simply due to the vibes from the sheer amount of children running around - children were allowed to ride their scooters around (one running over my dogs paws I was not best pleased ). Whilst I appreciate this establishment is inclusive and I wouldnāt ever want a place to be child free I do feel it was like a activity arts and craft kids center at the back - it was a little too much especially being in this type of setting , i would say it may be beneficial to. It allow scooters and mini bikes inside as itās simply not large enough.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo you like delicious fresh beer and wonderful bar staff? Then this is the place for you! Verdant are one of our favourite breweries - we've only managed to visit the taproom twice but both times the service has been amazing and the beer and pizza have been epic, plus the atmosphere is just fabulous! I cannot praise the staff enough - they are so friendly, lovely, fun and kind (not to mention non-pretentious, which can sometimes (not always) come hand in hand with taprooms). I absolutely love it at Verdant and highly, highly recommend! Thank you so much Verdant Team - much love and respect to you! (P.S. Dog and child friendly, which is a bonus, P.P.S. Marylou is my personal favourite beer, although Neal Gets Things Done is a close second! And P.P.P.S. Highly recommend their seafood tapas bar in Falmouth, too! Oh and P.P.P.P.S. Their food truck last night was amazing - fusion East African, Indian and British deliciousness! I think it was...
