The New Road Inn — Restaurant in England

I’ve recently started going to the New Road Inn and its always a great experience. The staff always make you feel at home they are genuinely friendly, not just “doing their job” friendly (i think ive started to feel like a regular).

The pub itself has a lovely, cosy feel — clean and well-kept without losing that traditional character. You can still find a good quiet corner if you want a chat, but there’s also a nice buzz in the air that makes it feel lively especially on friday and weekend. And they have all main sports events on with a really good crowd and atmosphere.

They serve indian food and ive tried it a few times and its really good (food pics are from the last visit with a few mates) The portions are generous too, so you won’t be leaving hungry.

What really makes the New Road Inn stand out is the atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, have a laugh, and feel like you’ve found a little local gem. I left with a full.

Ive never sat in the beer garden but that also looks really cool and great for the footy.

gone completely downhill compared to previous visits. waiters seemed confused and poorly communicated with us/between each other. table was dirty and had to be cleaned. food waiting time was atrocious and wasn’t even worth the wait (we waited an hour for our mains and it wasn’t even busy). shambolic service as some of our dishes were missed out and had to be cooked fresh. dimly lit, dull and dreary and not a welcoming atmosphere. all meat dishes were 90% sauce and 10% meat. veggie dishes were overly spicy so couldn’t appreciate the flavour. noodles were greasy and tasteless. overall, a massive let down and very disappointed. would not recommend nor...

Visited with friends from overseas. Its gone absolutely downhill from our previous visits. Service & waiting time outrageous. Food was of extreme bad quality. I could plant a bay tree with the amount I had in my dish not to mention the cardamoms.I had to keep taking the cardamom out in ever mouthful i took.More sauce than meat itself.
