We rang ahead to book a table as we were coming off the sandbanks ferry as we've been driving along the Jurassic Coast for the day and we were staying up in fordingbridge so we wanted to be certain we could get a table as it was very much out of our way if they couldn't. We rang at 8pm as we couldn't book online and were told if we got there for 8:30 they would serve us however if it was 10 minutes later they wouldn't as the chef would be finished for the day. We managed to get there for 8:31 and fortunately on arrival were told to take our time and the restaurant was about 3/4 full. Service was average however you are charged an extra 10% on top of your bill irrelevant if you want to or not which makes it extremely pricey in total We had bread and oil to share as an appetiser I ordered Noisy Platter for One Half Lobster, 3 Tempura Prawns, Seared Scallops with Chorizo & Mango, Lime Aioli, House Salad & Chips Lobster and seafood were beautiful and tasty however chips were a bit of a letdown dry and overcooked. I had a mojito which was ok but nothing special for £12. My sister had lobster linguine and a glass of sauvignon blanc. Total cost with service charge £119.24 and we were out of there within an hour. Could be a little bit more luxuriously decorated to create a better ambiance as it feels a bit cafe like to me and nothing fancy but the food is quite good if not a...

Lunch Seafood restaurant on the beach.

The Noisy Lobster is a family run business based on the stunning Dorset Coast with idyllic views of Avon Beach and the Isle of Wight.

The restaurant is a stunning setting for all-day dining specialising in locally sourced seafood, much of which is caught by the hard-working fishermen from Mudeford and Lymington.

We opted for Starters Seared Scallops £15.50 Heirloom Tomato and Octopus Salsa, Prosciutto Ham Crisps, Paprika oil. Mudeford Lobster & Poached Fish Scotch Egg £14.50

Mains Pan Roasted Hake Loin £28.00 Parmentier Potatoes, Mojo Rojo Ratatouille, Wild Garlic & Courgette Puree, Asparagus, Wild Garlic

Mango Madras Monkfish Tail £27.50 Bombay Spiced Potato Croquette, Coriander Steamed Greens, Mango Yoghurt, Cape Malay Sauce.

The food was well cooked and very tasty. Service was friendly and professional.

We were first seated on the terrace as they do not allow dogs in the restaurant. It was a bit cold and breezy so we had to put our dogs in the car.

Inside, we sat in a booth table looking out to the car park so we could watch the dogs. It would be great if they allowed dogs in this part as it's away from the main restaurant.

It was still enjoyable to eat freshly cooked food and...

We went to The Noisy Lobster for the first time this weekend. We hadn't booked and even though they were incredibly busy, they managed to sit us quickly. Place is pristine, smells incredible and staff are all warm and welcoming. Service was fantastic even though they were full! My husband had a mixed platter including half a lobster, tempura prawns and other bits. My 7 year old had fish fingers and chips, and I had their beer battered fish and chips with a side of the tempura prawns. My husband really enjoyed his food (especially the lobster, which was cooked and seasoned to perfection), and it was well worth the price, same for my daughter. Unfortunately I found the batter and chips extremely oily and they tasted quite greasy (more so than expected for fish and chips) so I didn't find it worth the price tag. Neither of us enjoyed the prawns enough to find them worth their price either. My husband and I both had their Eton Mess for dessert and it was absolutely beautiful. Worth every penny as you not only get lots for your money but every element was home made, rich in flavour and just made my taste buds come alive. Was an expensive treat but worth it overall and will definitely...
